You would have to be brain-dead not to recognize the "violence-supporting segment of Islam" as Dennis Prager calls it in his article, "The World's Deadliest Ideology". The 'brain-dead' description is mine, Prager is a little nicer. He calls them: "willfully naive, America-haters, Jew-haters and those afraid to confront evil." That's true too.
Anyone else sees the contemporary reality -- the genocidal Islamic regime in Sudan; the widespread Muslim theological and emotional support for the killing of a Muslim who converts to another religion; the absence of freedom in Muslim-majority countries; the widespread support for Palestinians who randomly murder Israelis; the primitive state in which women are kept in many Muslim countries; the celebration of death; the "honor killings" of daughters; and so much else that is terrible in significant parts of the Muslim world -- knows that civilized humanity has a new evil to fight. source
Unfortunately many Americans are brain-dead, willfully naive and/or afraid to confront evil. "Just as previous generations had to fight Nazism, Communism, and fascism, our generation has to confront militant Islam."
And whereas there were unique aspects to those evils, there are two unique aspects to the evil emanating from the Islamic world that render this latest threat to humanity particularly difficult to overcome.One is the number of people who believe in it. This is a new phenomenon among organized evils. Far fewer people believed in Nazism or in Communism than believe in Islam... Outside of Germany, how many people believed in Nazism? Outside of Japan, who believed in Japanese imperialism and militarism? And outside of universities, the arts world or Hollywood, how many people believed in Soviet-style totalitarianism?
But there is yet a second difference that is at least as significant and at least as frightening: Nazis and Communists wanted to live and feared death; Islamic authoritarians love death and loathe life.
Why will our government not recognize this threat for what it is? Why do they continue to dismiss the desire of these people to 'convert' us, to destroy our way of life and force us into slavery under their Sharia laws? There is no excuse for their refusal to see the enemy for what it is.
Prager ends by saying, "There has been no Muslim Gulag and no Muslim Auschwitz." Well, no Mr. Prager, they prefer to bind, gag, torture, behead, hand, shoot, stab, burn, blowup, and THEN throw their enemy on the trash heap, just like they did to American Tom Fox. What's the difference? Is that any 'nicer' or more 'peaceful' than a gulag or gas chamber? I don't think so.
If you don't believe that Jihadis are here on our own soil, go read Laura Mansfield's series, "Jihad in Small Town America", a six part series. In Part 1, she find a flyer on the windshield of her car, inviting her to 'special informational presentation on God and family values'.
The meeting was at a local mosque. Ms. Mansfield decided to attend, just to check it out. She is an expert who speaks the language and understands the religion, history, and culture of the Islamic world. She arrived at the mosque an hour early, in time for the Arabic service. She sat in the back and pretended to read a book, while waiting for the 'English' service to start. The imam did not know that she could understand the Arabic service.
Speaker after speaker bragged about how they had gotten through TSA inspection without being stopped. Or how they had purposefully packed Qurans, Arabic DVD's and CD's, and laptop computers so they would be stopped, in order to let their friend (along with his blond girlfriend) get through the inspections and board the plane.
The were instructed by the imam to continue with these acts of 'civil disobedience'. The imam said, "that it was through this kind of civil disobedience that ethnic profiling would fail, and it was their duty as Muslims to continue in the path of jihad, both civil disobedience and actual physical fighting.
