Republicans back down to illegal immigrant demands

Oh, my, the illegal criminal immigrants have been 'angered' by proposed legislation, so the Republicans tremble! What's this nation coming to? They need to tremble at the voice of their constituents because as Ollie North says, "We are mad as hell and we aren't going to take it any more!" Seems the politicians don't give a care at what those who put them in office WANT them to do.

Our government is being held hostage by illegal immigrants and they are giving in to their demands. I thought we didn't negotiate with terrorists or criminals.

US Republicans have indicated that plans to criminalise illegal migrants, and those who aid them, may be dropped. Top party members said they would review the plans, which are part of a bill passed by the House in December. The provisions have angered pro-immigrant groups who on Monday staged more nationwide protests.

It remains our intent to produce a strong border security bill that will not make unlawful presence in the United States a felony, Bill Frist and Dennis Hastert, Republicans. source

Protecting What You Value and Illegal Immigration

It's really quite simple. When you VALUE something, you protect it, and you take care of it. You don't allow others to devalue and demean it. Others take their cue about the value of something from
how the owners feel about it.

Is it any wonder that illegal immigrants are marching and demanding their "rights" when Americans have acted like it's no big deal to enter our country illegally? Why should they obey a law that isn't

Congress Says, Shut Up and Pay Your Taxes

Turns out the senate did hear quite well America this past week as the outcry amassed and we demanded Washington secure our borders. In fact, the senate has grown weary of the annoying drone of know-nothing taxpayers attempting to leverage more influence on their public servants than big business and foreign nationals. So the senate has decided to do something about it: It plans to rid itself of the annoyance once and for all.

Forget about Campaign Finance Reform, the FEC and the blogosphere, because this puts all of the previous attempts to silence legitimate political speech to shame:

While I haven't read through the entire bill yet (it's pretty late), WorldNet daily and others are reporting that the senate has already passed by a vote of 90-8 The Legislative Transparency and Accountability Act of 2006 (S.2349, a bill that would effectively stifle the voice of the electorate petitioning the government for a redress of grievences by outlawing the grassroots lobbying of congress. It's about time people noticed this for what it is. Our leaders are finally starting to think about the voters for a change. It's scaring you guys isn't it? Well it's about time! It is the American citizens (US) the one that vote, we are the ones that need to be heard, after all aren't we the ones with the legal rights here in the U.S ? As commented: " Many of the demonstrators were not citizens or voters" This has to tell our leaders something. As far as many of them being legal citizens? Maybe... How much do you want to bet that there are more of us than them. Did you get the part where they mainly carried U.S flags? These people are playing it for all that they can. Josh Roberts double-locked the door behind him and anxiously peeked through the curtains.

Roberts turned on his computer and re-set the preferences for English grammar instead of Spanish.

Ever since Texas independence turned the state into Nuevo Tejas, all English language publications were illegal. If anyone found out about Liberty, Robert’s underground newspaper, he and his family would be tossed into the Dallas County jail for . . . well, who knew for how long?

Roberts had worked for the Dallas Morning News before it was banned and re-born as the Dallas Reconquista. Reconquista stood for re-conquest; the acquisition by immigration of the lost Mexican territories of Texas, California, New Mexico and Arizona. But, not to worry! Fearless Frist, and Hop-A-Long Hastert have mulled over the massive protests -- and decided to strike the word felony from the House immigration bill. Which is interesting, since I think the new watered down version in the Senate doesn't even contain a reference to the word "felony." Go read it all here

I want all the members of the House to take this advice:

A key House member yesterday warned the Senate that they must not be intimidated by rallies in 60 cities this week against immigration reform legislation pending in Congress.

Republican Rep. Peter T. King, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, says that he expects "several thousand people" will protest his district offices in New York but that "you can't allow that to intimidate you." Go read it all here

Our government probably doesn't see it that way, you know. They see it as "responding to partners in business and financial sectors", i.e. those who gave the biggest bribes. To be honest (and I hate to say this), but there are some folks in DC who look at the Mexican model of elitism, graft, and corruption and think it's not such a bad idea.
