Saudi men on Florida school bus, NO ACCIDENT
The two Saudi Arabian men who entered a Florida school bus knew exactly what they were doing. No amount of poo-pooing from CAIR or the liberal left can change that fact. They have been in the United States for six months and they want us to believe they didn't know a school bus from public transportation. I say bull-crap on that.
Western Resistance agrees that this was no mistake, but probably a trial run for a Beslan-type attack here in the US.
After six months they don't know what a school bus is? No, Mr. Spencer, I don't think it is plausible at all. I knew what school buses are and how they operate since before I made it to the United States, from American movies. These Saudis may be dense, but they are not mentally retarded. I would have to agree with Misha this is more likely a test run for a Beslan-type scenario. On the other hand, perhaps these two Saudi-men-pretending to be Moroccan are "merely" trying to raise fear through their actions by reminding Americans how easy it is to murder their children. (And they will get sympathy from the useless idiots who will scream "racism", "islamophobia"; mark my words.)
Jihad Watch says, "Kos Scoffs at Saudi School Bus Story"
The Kos original is filled with links to various anti-jihad sites. Jihad Watch is linked at "OH MY GOD!!!!" I think that's somewhat ironic, given that there is nothing hysterical or ranting about my original post. I just asked a few questions. Here is what I said:
I think it's plausible that someone who doesn't know America very well might mistake a school bus for a public bus. But why was one of them wearing a trench coat, in May, in Tampa, Florida? Why did they keep changing their story about why they wanted to go to the school? And why did they originally say they were from Morocco instead of admitting they were Saudis? And why has their bail been revoked (which detail comes from the Rottweiler, not the Trib story) if this were just a case of boarding the wrong bus?
From Jihad Watch's original post, "Saudi Men Who Rode School Bus Arrested," from the Tampa Tribune, with thanks to The Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler, who suspects this was a test run for Beslan-in-America:" ...
"Both defendants gave several versions of the reason they took a school bus to a high school," said Hillsborough County sheriff's spokesman J.D. Callaway.
"They said they wanted to go to Wharton to look around, and then they said they wanted to go there to have some fun, and then they said they wanted to enroll in the English classes there," Callaway said.
While on the bus, the men laughed and spoke in Arabic, Callaway said.
The apartments of these two men were searched, but Jihad Watch wonders if authorities actually knew what to look for. Good question.
Right Wing Howler: And bail was set at what? $250?!?!?!?!?!?
Can anyone say, “Mohammed Atta?”
Of course, that useless organization that sponsors terrorism and has yet to engage in wholesale condemnation of terrorist activities around the world, CAIR, defended these two:
Ahmed Bedier, Tampa director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations said the men likely meant no harm ...
Furthermore, why were they EVEN ALLOWED ON THE BUS to begin with?!?!?!?
Yet all we get is, “nothing to be worried about folks. Move along. Nothing to see here. No terrorists. Trust us.
Mike's America reports that bail has been revoked and how strange it is one of the Saudis had on a trench coat, in Florida. Michelle Malkin also reports that BAIL FOR SAUDIS REVOKED because prosecutors want to know more about these two. More at American Future, more at Memeorandum
These men are supposedly here to study English? I have a sample of what text books in their home country teach about Americans, from Red State, "The Saudi Mask Slips":
So when an Islamic textbook, one that is widely distributed throughout the world thanks to the good offices of the House of Saud, says:
"As cited in Ibn Abbas: The apes are Jews, the people of the Sabbath; while the swine are the Christians, the infidels of the communion of Jesus."…
"Some of the people of the Sabbath were punished by being turned into apes and swine. Some of them were made to worship the devil, and not God, through consecration, sacrifice, prayer, appeals for help, and other types of worship. Some of the Jews worship the devil. Likewise, some members of this nation worship the devil, and not God."
These are just a few of the nuggets of wisdom contained in Saudi textbooks. ...
We’ve been told that they are a “fringe” element, yet what is referred to as wahhabism, the sponsoring sect for these books which provided the above quotes, is not fringe. It is the state religion of Saudi Arabia and, thanks to generous funding from our friends the Saudis, is the fastest growing sect in Islam. When viewed with its offshoots, salafism and qutbism it is also the most politically potent sect. I don’t propose to tell Muslims how to run their religion. Because if I take at face value the instructional material used to teach their fifth graders:
"Whoever obeys the Prophet and accepts the oneness of God cannot maintain a loyal friendship with those who oppose God and His Prophet, even if they are his closest relatives."
When is our country going to get serious about potential terrorists HERE in our own country????
Linked with LissaKay from Oh, Really "Crushing of Dissent: Six Meat Buffet attacked by the "tolerant" Left"Preston Taylor Holmes, of Six Meat Buffet, posted about the incident in Tampa, FL in which two men boarded a public school bus. Turns out the men are Saudis, but they told many different tales on the whys and wherefores of how and why they came to be on a bus full of school children. The concern over this kind of occurence is not only legitimate, one would have to be lobotomized in this day and age to blow it off as merely a goof-up by two foreigners.

Debbie, thanks for commenting on "Will Blog for Food." There's a good book that makes the case that oil is the real reason we're in Iraq. It's "American Theocracy" by Kevin Phillips. It's currently on the best seller list, I believe. The Bush family's oil connections go way back. The Cheney and Condoleeza Rice connections are documented as well.
According to a secret agreement with the Saudis, OPEC oil sales must be in US dollars. This means that the OPEC nations have a lot of dollars to invest which makes our huge national debt possible. It's understandable that Bush threatened his only veto for the proposed Congressional nixing of the Dubai ports deal. Why? Because at the governmental level, at least, we can't afford to offend the Arabs who use their oil derived surplus dollars to buy up US debt. Like any other prudent investor, they've decided to diversify into US real estate and other assets. Because of our dependency, as the world's largest debtor nation, on OPEC nations and Chinese central bankers, the Bush administration has to do a delicate dance to convince the American people it is fighting a war on terrorism while in fact it is in bed with the ruling cliques of nations where terrorism originates.
The politics of oil and the mideast did not start with Bush or the US but go way back with the British having preceded us as hegemons in the region. Has anyone heard any mention as to what's to be done with the Iraqui oil fields once the war is presumably over? Presumably they are to be denationalized and sold to the highest bidders which would probably include ExxonMobil, Chevron, BP and Shell. The BP interest in the area is a good reason that the Brits are so heavily involved in the war.
American oil assets have declined since their high point in the 1990s so the oil companies are probably eagerly looking forward to the ultimate denationalized disposal of Iraqui oil assets.
Regarding OPEC only being willing to sell oil for US dollars, should they decide at some point to accept euros as well as or in place of US dollars, US interest rates could go sky high as we seek a dwindling capital pool to cover our immense appetite.
That's why we can't offend the Saudis even though, as you point out, their schools preach hatred of the west from day 1. They're also doing a delicate dance to appease their populace while keeping the ruling clique in power.

John Lawrence, I believe the terrorists have lots of plots in the works. They have more patience than we do and take years to plan an attack.
I don't buy the 'we went to war for oil'. That's just not the case, but you are certainly welcome to your opinion.
I do agree that this administration has not taken the correct steps to guard the borders, and for that I am very upset with them.

I think the terrorists can strike at will, but they are smart enough to know that, if they do, all that they will accompolish is to raise George W.'s approval rating. All that the 9/11 hijackers accomplished was to give the Bush Administration an excuse to go to war against Iraq, something that the Project for the New American Century had wanted to do for years.
The real reason we're in Iraq is not to fight terrorism. It's to establish gigantic military bases, and eventually to parcel out ownership of the oil fields to ExxonMobil, Chevron and British Petroleum. By the way Iraq has the largest untapped oil deposits in the world.
Terrorism. Shmerrorism. Terrorist attacks would only play into the hands of the Bush Administration by giving them a raison d'etre. If they were serious about terrorism and (not oil), would they not have secured the borders and the ports years ago?
