9/11 terrorist captured in New Zealand, deported to Saudi Arabia

Rayed Mohammed Abdullah Ali has been nabbed by immigration officials in New Zealand.  He has now been deported to Saudi Arabia.  "The American report of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States had said the man lived and trained with Saudi Arabian Hani Hanjour, who is believed to have piloted American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon." 

Immigration Minister David Cunliffe:

"The individual's identity became apparent only after he arrived in New Zealand. He used a variation of his name in applying for entry to New Zealand. Once his real identity became known, he was identified as having close connections to people involved with the September 11 2001 attacks in the United States, and had been named in the 9/11 Commission Report.

"Initially, he lived in Auckland where he undertook some English language training, the stated purpose of his visit. He then shifted to Palmerston North where he was building up his flying hours flying with an instructor. He'd previously trained as a pilot in the United States."  source

It is very important to note here that it was the New Zealand immigration department that took control of this terrorist, under "the rarely used Section 72 of the Immigration Act 1987, which required the approval of the Governor General". 

It is also important to note that Rayed Mohammed Abdullah Ali was attending a school to learn the English language (Remember the Arab men who 'accidentally' got on the school bus in Florida recently?  They were attending a school to learn English.)  Additionally, he was continuing his flight lessons. 

These facts make if very clear that this man was STILL PLANNING TO CARRY OUT TERRORIST ATTACKS.

Remember the Toronto Canada terrorists arrested last week.  They all attended mosque and Islamic centers, several of them teaching and giving radical speeches.  Rayed Abdullah was a leader at the Islamic Cultural Centre in Phoenix and reportedly gave extremist speeches at the mosque.

He was nabbed on May 29, 2006 and deported to Saudi Arabia the next day.  Rayed Mohammed Abdullah Ali was thought to be from Yemen and is 28 years old.

The Herald said police seized his flight logbook from the aero club, where he had flown several times in Cessna aircraft accompanied by instructors.

The paper said the short, clean-cut Muslim gave no indication of fundamanmentalist tendencies and told the club's chief flying officer, Captain Ravindra Singh, that he had obtained his private pilot's licence in the US, spending several years there before returning to Saudi Arabia to work in his father's textile business.

Abdullah told Singh he was born and raised in Saudi Arabia but travelled on a Yemeni passport because his father was from Yemen and Saudi Arabia had refused to give him citizenship.  source

We should note here that Cessna aircraft are the type planes that wander into forbidden airspace around the White House and other national sites all the time, without much concern from Homeland Security. 

I am pleased that New Zealand recognized this dangerous person, but the fact that they simply deported him to Saudi Arabia is very troubling.  There is no information that the Saudis plan to lock him up or keep an eye on him.

Well, Fred Dagg, I sure hope he is being interrogated. He should have been turned over to the USA. Hopefully some nasty Saudi interrogator is having his way with him at this very moment. Fingernails? That may be going a little too far, ha.

What we want is information right now. You know he has buddies here in the US or even in New Zealand who are taking their flight lessons as we speak.

No body knows. He's disappeared up his own back passage in Saudi or he's currently under interrogation. I'd imagine the latter. He's probably had his finger nails and front teeth removed by now. And why not !
