You can go read it all, if you have a strong stomach for rubbish.  I prefer to read articles based on truth, like this one, "'Border security first' must be nation's policy":

It must be "border security first" ...  "then and only then should we debate "paths to citizenship or guest worker programs," where WE the CITIZENS pick and choose who should have the privilege of becoming U.S. workers or citizens. Clearly, the blessings, rights and responsibilities of American citizenship cannot be safely left to the opportunistic politicians, or to those who have arrived flouting the rule of law." Minuteman founder Jim Gilchrist says he does not support a compromise immigration proposal by Rep Mike Pence, R-Ind., despite the congressman's claim to the contrary. Pence told a Republican Study Group mini-retreat Monday at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C., that Gilchrist backs his plan to form worker-placement centers outside the U.S.  source

The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps is celebrating Flag Day with project entitled “Border Flags” or “Send a Flag to the Border”.  It is a direct response to the onslaught on the American Flag this year and the invasion of our southern border with Mexico.  The group is celebrating the nation’s independence and sovereignty."

The fake documents issue is one that must be confronted by out government.  My pal at Blogmeister USA has a great article, "All Aboard the Illegal ID Gravy Train".  I suggest you go read it all, but here is a morsel to wet your appetite:

We all know there are people out there who are willing to provide fake documentation to illegal immigrants. That in and of itself is appalling. What's more appalling, however, is when state employees decide to get in on the action:

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) -- A fifth employee of the state Department of Motor Vehicles has been arrested on charges of selling driver's licenses to illegal aliens and criminals. Cynthia White, 42, of Bridgeport was charged Tuesday with two counts of violating the state Corrupt Organizations and Racketeering Act, three counts of bribe taking, two counts of conspiracy to commit second-degree forgery and one count of second-degree forgery.

On the topic of the 'wall' that we all want built, Fishkite does the topic proud:

The U.S. Senate recently voted to build a 370-mile fence along the U.S./Mexico border. Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) called it “a signal that open-border days are over.” We could agree if the proposed fence weren’t about 1,582 miles too short, covering only 23% of the southern border, and of course leaving another 4,000 miles vulernable to Canadian terrorist cells. This is like building a well by drilling only a fourth of the way down and then calling it “a signal that our days of thirst are over.”

Sessions also quoted from a poem by Robert Frost, saying, “good fences make good neighbors.”

Then, of course, NPR swept in with a guide to the often misunderstood poem and essentially argued that by building a security fence we’re ignoring the laws of nature. What commentator Jay Keyser didn’t say, however, was that we’ve long ignored the laws of this country, a fact which has led us to this debate in the first place. Keyser also failed to note that the neighbor in Frost’s poem wasn’t trying to break through the wall, take the speaker’s job and demand free medical, free education and other benefits. One might suspect the poem would read a little differently if that were the case, no matter how friendly the neighbor was otherwise, or how well he could pick fruit, grill vegetables or landscape an apartment complex.  (go read the rest, you really should)

The proposed amnesty bill has been put under the microscope by Common Sense America, and it sounds promising:

We may be watching the slow and painful death of the asinine amnesty bill our lovely Senators tried to sail under the radar of the American public. Forbes reports:

    Hopes for a quick compromise on immigration were dealt a blow Tuesday after House Speaker Dennis Hastert said he wanted to take a “long look” at a Senate bill offering possible citizenship to millions of illegal immigrants.     Hastert said hearings on the Senate bill should be held before appointing anyone to a House-Senate committee to negotiate a compromise immigration bill.

Later, he said he was unsure what the House’s next move would be.     “We’re going to take a long look at it,” Hastert said late Tuesday.  (read the rest, you know you want to)

Freedom Folks also says the House will take time with an immigration bill:

Backers of the Senate bill were surprised Tuesday by Hastert's call for a long review, seeing it as an attempt to kill the bill "by a thousand cuts."

"There's a desire to nitpick the Senate bill apart," said Sen. Mel Martinez, R-Fla., a key sponsor. "I think it's unfortunate and I think hearings would only add to that. I don't think that's a good process."

NITPICK - To be concerned with or find fault with insignificant details.

Nitpick? I doubt it, Mel. Unless, of course, you consider amnesty -- which the American people don't want, and a good number of politicians seem unable to define -- an "insignificant detail."

Hmm, apparently sending the National Guard to help seal the border has already had an effect: fewer illegal immigrants are trying to cross, in a mixture of individual discouragement and higher smuggler fees. Let's hope Congress does its part so that they don't waste the time and effort of thousands of National Guardsmen.

Valgerd's Hearth writes about the arrests today, " Finally, sanity on the illegal alien issue"

In a blitz that began May 26, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has arrested nearly 2,100 illegal immigrants across the country. Officials said the raids are aimed at child molesters, gang members and other violent criminals, as well as people like Da Silva who sneaked back into the country after a judge threw them out. The crackdown is called Operation Return to Sender.  (go read the entire coverage)

Yes the MinuteMen are amazing FrauBudgie. They have done what our government won't do. I really hope that some of their leaders run for political office. You can bet they would get tons of votes.

Also, heard on Michael Savage that the MinuteMen joined the protest outside of Camp Pendleton, in support of the Shackled Marines. I'll link that when I find something solid.
