Mohammed Cartoons, no charges against protesters (and other UK Dhimmitude)
Filed under, "we can't make this stuff up", the UK literally tells Muslims they can do whatever they want, and there will be NO PUNISMENT. Why? The UK wants to be "tolerant". Grrrrrr!
Now a few months back we had the lovely scene of irate muslims spouting hate against the west and showing how well they have adapted to our western of life.
The only arrests on that day were of two non muslims who were carrying copies of the cartoons, no arrests were made for hate speech, or dissemination of criminal hatred on the streets of London.
The police issued this statement: In view of the prevailing circumstances the main thrust of the policing strategy was one of being firm but tolerant with due consideration being required before making immediate arrests. Some of the placards and chanting could be construed as offensive and inciting violence …
Some time after thousands of irate muslims had abused the hositality of their new home nation, a few token arrests were made but in the fine tradition of dhimmi's everywhere the police and CPS have backed down on this. A few days ago the charges were all dropped. Fido, at The Lone Voice

They arrested 2 Kafir but no muslims. The only arrests were of two people carrying copies of the Danish cartoons which triggered the protests. They were escorted away by officers and released without charge.

The police who sat around and videotaped the incitement to riot - i wont refer to it as a demo - said that they were "gathering evidence" and now even that excuse has just been shown to be moral cowardice of the highest order. Thanks to the nordish portal for some of the assorted links.

I hesitate to ask, because the British government will no doubt be quick to furnish an answer, but can once-Great Britain sink any lower than this? So what makes Muslims a special case? I don't recall any efforts to tell the Irish community in London before any action was taken against IRA terrorists.

All of the above should be a lesson for us here in the USA. I love what Daniel Pipes has to say, and now Daniel Pipes published his "Bibliography -- My Writings about Profiling to Find Terrorists ". I wish our government would read some of these great articles. Maybe it would help us to keep from falling into dhimmitude like the UK.

Marya Bangee doesn’t know what to believe. The UC Irvine sophomore thinks the fact that she’s Muslim is the reason she’s been singled out for searches at airports and been scrutinized by police at anti-war demonstrations.
She’s also distrustful of the FBI, uncertain whether the agency is telling the complete story of whether its employees are monitoring Orange County’s Muslim community. Her doubts loom a week after Muslim leaders and an FBI senior agent shook hands and patted each other on the back, concluding a meeting that addressed conflicting reports as to whether the community is being watched.

The face of Islam presented to our children here in the USA isn't always loud and abraisive and obvious. We need to be on guard, unlike our friends in Europe.
