One Social Security Number, 81 Illegal Immigrants
This could be you, an innocent legal American citizen, having your Social Security number used from Florida to Washington state, by at least 81 people, and the government sending the bill to you. " Thieves are able to steal personal information because employers do not have to verify Social Security numbers or other documents submitted by job seekers."
One woman's Social Security identification number has been used by at least 81 people in 17 states. ...
Audra Schmierer, a 33-year-old housewife in this affluent San Francisco suburb, realized she had a problem in February 2005, when she got a statement from the IRS saying she owed $15,813 in back taxes — even though she had not worked since her son was born in 2000. Perhaps even more surprising, the taxes were due from jobs in Texas. ...
The situation has long drawn fire from anti-illegal immigration groups, but Congress has only recently moved to fix it. Both the Senate and House of Representatives have passed immigration-reform bills that call for employers to verify Social Security numbers in a national database.
Homeland Security officials have taken it a step further, calling on Congress to allow the Social Security Administration to share information with immigration-enforcement agents at work sites.
Under current law, if the Social Security Administration or the Internal Revenue Service find multiple people using the same Social Security number, the agencies send letters informing employers of possible errors.
The IRS can fine employers $50 for each inaccurate number filed, a punishment that companies often dismiss as just another cost of doing business.
"Sending letters is the limit to what can be done," Social Security spokesman Lowell Kepke said. "We expect that will be able to fix any records that are incorrect." source
Other illegal immigration criminal invader news today,
Led by Oakland resident and teacher Jesse Muldoon, this anti- anti-illegal immigration group made up of the International Socialist Organization, local church groups and the Green Party, didn't hesitate to express their views. Republican congressional candidate John Jacob may have used a legal loophole to hire two Chileans who were apparently legal residents without work eligibility. ... Jacob has professed a hard-line stance against illegal immigration in his bid to unseat Rep. Chris Cannon, R-Utah, in the 3rd District primary race. Jacob says he did nothing wrong when he helped the two Chileans set up a company. source

"Finding middle-of-the-road may get a conservative run over" Indiana congressman Mike Pence has proposed what he calls a "middle ground" in the debate over immigration reform. For his efforts, Pence is now the subject of harsh criticism from both sides of the debate. Yes, Rastaman, it's a lose-lose deal for Americans, no we cannot absorb them all here, something needs to be done, but this is the first I have heard of OIL being the problem.
You think everything boiles down to oil, don't you? We went into Iraq for oil, or so you think.
I have to admit I have not heard anything about this Mexico/oil idea. No one else is posting on it that I have seen. Give me some references so I can read on it.
Thanks, Butch, for commenting. Yep, we never know who might be next for identity theft. It could be any of us. Scary thought!

I consider myself VERY lucky that I haven't experienced 'identity theft'...as of yet.

The wrecking of America as orchestrated by Bush and Fox in promoting this massive invasion of illegal job and welfare seekers is based on oil. The pipeline from Mexico was shut off at the border until a wink-wink agreement was reached to take in millions of destitute Mexicans.
By reducing its population, the government owned oil company of Mexico, Pemex, needs less oil internally and can sell more, for more money, to other countries. We are that other country because of this deal. At the same time, Mexico profits again by having less poor people to help support. The idea is that we can absorb them here and put them to work while the oil companies make big profits. Problem is, we can't absorb them all and they're using OIL which drives up our need for oil. For us citizens it's a lose-lose deal. For Bush and his oil interests and for Fox and Mexico, they come out winners.
