Has the world turned upside down?

Has the world lost it's mind? Has everything turned upside down? The innocent are now the guilty. The attacked are now called the aggressors. The peace-loving countries are called killers, while killers are called victims? The French praise the Iranians? Oh, wait. That last one sounds like business as usual for the French.

Iran's state controlled news entity - Islamic Republic News Agency - is reporting that the French Foreign Minister - Douste-Blazy - has called Iran "crucial to the stability of the Middle East."

In a Monday news conference given in Beirut, Douste-Blazy underlined what appears to be France's support for Hezbollah - "we [France] could never accept a destabilisation of Lebanon," and went on to state "In the region there is of course a country such as Iran - a great country, a great people and a great civilization which is respected and which plays a stabilizing role in the region." source

The fighting now in Lebanon is not about land, just as the fighting in Palestine is not about land, even though that is what we are supposed to believe.

The widening arena of Hezbollah’s attacks stemmed from Nasrallah’s perception that Jews anywhere are legitimate targets. In fact, Nasrallah has said:

‘If they (Jews) all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide.’ (Daily Star, Oct. 23, 2002)

From Zawahiri in his latest video:

"'As they fight us everywhere, we will fight them everywhere; everyone who has joined in the crime must pay the price; we can't stand by and monitor these rockets spewing their fire on the people of Lebanon and remain quiet,' Zawahiri continued.'The war with Israel is not based on any agreements or any border disputes ... it is jihad for the sake of Allah, to free all of Palestine from occupation and to rid all the homes of Islam from the crusaders. The whole world is our battlefield.' source via Renew America

The 'international community' is supposedly pushing for a multinational force in Lebanon, but the United Nations has 'scrapped a meeting of nations that might contribute troops'.

France, Italy, Germany, Ireland and Turkey have said they are considering joining a multinational force. Diplomats in the continent's other capitals are discussing whether to add their countries to the roster ahead of a hastily arranged EU foreign ministers meeting in Brussels on Tuesday.

France, which has been mentioned as a contributor and possible leader of a force, helped scuttle the troop-contributor meeting when it said there was no point in talking about peacekeepers now with the war continuing between Israeli troops and Hezbollah militants. source

And what about John Kerry's choice for undersecretary of state for political affairs, Nicholas Burns, who is now BUSH'S Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs? What kind of upside-down world is this? Is he now causing problems for Bush?

"The Bush administration appears to be playing down the significant role played by Iran in supplying arms and other support to Hizbullah in Lebanon, apparently a result of the dominance of diplomats in the corridors of power. Nicholas Burns, Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, is said to be the leading soft-line official within the administration who favors the current policy of avoiding a major expose of Teheran's involvement in the Lebanon fighting."

Burns seems to have been empowered by Secty Rice, who made the decision to delegate policy formulation to the State Departments notoriously lefty bureaucracy. source

There is no doubt that Iran and Syria are involved with Hezbollah and their fight against Israel, why would anyone 'down-play' that?

Iran’s Foreign Minister - Manouchehr Mottaki - has just landed in Beirut, thus lending credence to claims that Hezbollah is nothing but a proxy army for the Mullah controlled terrorist state.

Mottaki's shuttle terror coordination found him previously in Damascus, Syria.

Both Iran and Syria are believed pivotal in Hezbollah's terror campaign and commended the group for the kidnapping of two IDF soldiers, which instigated the current military crisis. source

Some in the 'left' and the 'drive-by media', rather than doing all they can to protect this country from terror, are in fact aiding the enemy.

While The New York Times discloses classified procedures necessary to help protect our homeland, Hezbollah and al-Qaeda have sleeper cells living in America, waiting for the right time to emerge and execute their evil and despicable deeds.

Today in America, there are Hezbollah sympathizers who gather in the streets of America. Where does their allegiance lie? These are the same Americans who watch Al Jazeera while they openly support terrorists' organizations such as Himas and Hezbollah. It's shocking that they are allowed to live in The United States. source

So again I ask, 'what is this world coming to'?. A more important question is, 'what is America coming to', that our own citizens are working against this country?

Now, when a universally acknowledged terrorist organization commits an obvious act of war, the West demands that the victim stop fighting back. Instead of uniting to face down the terrorist enablers in Teheran and Damascus, we have the spectacle of the French government calling Iran a "stabilizing force" for the region. They may be right -- but what kind of stabilization does France and the rest of Europe want? Apparently the same kind that Hitler provided and Vichy administered. (read it all)
