Americans are worried, we have reasons

Americans are worried. Worried about the terrorists, the war against Islamic terrorists, the Muslim reaction to the Pope's comments, ... worried about our military, our politicians, ... worried about Europe going to the dogs and worried about the invitation from Muslims for America to accept the invitation to convert and be ruled by sharia law ... or die, while the terrorists are planning major attacks on American soil in the very near future.

This worry is expressed in an article, "We are a nation of cowards", by The Violence Worker, hat tip Blue Star Chronicles

Wars are not fought nice and cleanly like some video game. It’s pure hell and anyone who’s been in combat will tell you it’s pure hell.

We do not have generals any more. We have administrators. We have managers. We have CEOs with stars on their shoulders.

There are no Pattons or MacArthurs, no Pershings or Shermans. We don’t have military people in charge; we have people who are in the military in charge. If there was a Patton or a MacArthur, they'd never be allowed to be in charge.

My point here is that no one we are probably going to actually go to war with is either a signer of the Geneva Convention, or has any intention of adhering to it.

It’s time we started fighting wars like we mean it, or just give up completely.

It’s no wonder North Korea and Iran laugh at us and if we quit Iraq, there will be absolutely nothing stopping them.

They will know we are a nation of cowards. (read more)

Following that thought, Don Surber writes, "Saving liberals from a Sharia world". He's talking about what "Bret Stephens wrote in the Wall Street Journal Online today that liberals have the most to lose in a world ruled by Osama bin Laden."

I can cut to the chase on why this is so. The Blame America First crowd believes that the enemy of mine enemy is my friend. They did this 35 years ago with the Black Panthers and were saved by good police work. The Blame America First crowd (which now includes the Pat Buchanan types) can either wake up and join the fight, or someone will wake them up someday with a burqa over their pointy heads. source

Again, following that line of thought, Fishkite has this, "the Bible as a Leftist Playbook", quoting:

FrontPage writer Mark D. Tooley takes a look at Sojourners at the Faithful Democrats website:

Byassee and Casey, like many religious leftists, practice a politically and expediently expansionist interpretation of the Scriptures. Biblical admonitions to treat strangers kindly become political demands for abolishing immigration law. Biblical commands to feed the hungry become political demands for an unrestricted welfare state. Biblical aspirations for peace become political demands for unilateral disarmament. In fact, the Scriptures almost never offer the specific public policy guidance that the Religious Left, even more than the Religious Right, effusively likes to claim.

We sit here with our politicians arguing over every little thing, rather than doing what they need to do to protect us, while Muslims in New York and Washington are being told to leave the country ahead of a major terror attack during Ramadan, possibly a nuclear attack.

The new al-Qaida field commander in Afghanistan is calling for Muslims to leave the U.S. – particularly Washington and New York – in anticipation of a major terror attack to rival Sept. 11, according to an interview by a Pakistani journalist.

Abu Dawood told Hamid Mir, a reporter who has covered al-Qaida and met with Osama bin Laden, the attack is being coordinated by Adnan el-Shukrijumah and suggests it may involve some form of weapon of mass destruction smuggled across the Mexican border. source

Yes we are worried. The Pope had the courage to speak the truth, then even he backed down to the terrorists. It's time for the spirit of Flight 93 to envelope all of us here in the United States and the free nations around the world. Let's get off our politically correct, afraid to offend the enemy, bickering, wishy-washy, mamby-pamby, collective butts and -- Let's Roll as ONE against the enemy.
