Chairmanship of the G-15 changed from Algeria to Iran this year giving yet another podium for Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Prior to arriving in Cuba, Ahmadinejad said this:
"The American leaders should prefer to not speak in an angry fashion,” he said, before asserting that his country is a natural international leader. “We believe the on the basis of law and justice, we can better lead the world". source
Is it just me, or does Ahmadinejad seem to contradict himself. He wants to rule the world, until he gets to the G-15 meeting, where preaches cooperation and and a multi-polar world, whatever that is.
"Iran opposes any form of unilateralism and supports a multi-polar world." He expressed Tehran's readiness to have a friendly cooperation with other countries on the basis of massive and effective economic cooperation.Unfortunately, added President Ahmadinejad, "some countries are putting obstacles" in the way of technological and scientific progress in order to keep developing countries dependent and "exert political pressure." source
Also attending and getting the media's ear was Veuezuela's President Hugo Chavez, who either had a spy in Washington or a really active imagination:
"Iran is under threat; there are plans to invade Iran, hopefully it won't happen, but we are with you," ... "Under any scenario we are with you just like we are with Cuba," Chavez said. "If the United States invades Cuba, blood will run... We will not have our arms crossed while bombs are falling in Havana or they carry Raul off in a plane." source
According to Alireza Jafarzadeh, who heads the Washington-based Strategic Policy Consulting think tank and is credited with having aired Iranian military secrets in the past, Iran has secretly revived a program to enrich uranium using laser technology/laser enrichment program at Lashkar Ab'ad, about 15 miles northwest of Tehran.
Jafarzadeh urged the International Atomic Energy Agency to immediately send U.N. nuclear inspectors to Lashkar Ab'ad and demand access to all areas, including a new 5,000-square foot hall in a large garden where he said secret laser enrichment activities are being conducted. "We've only now been sent a copy of this report," said IAEA spokeswoman Melissa Fleming, "and like all information that we receive, we must take the time to check it against all our information in order to decide whether it is worth following up."The laser enrichment is being conducted under the guise of a front company called Paya Partov whose board is chaired by Reza Aqazadeh, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Jafarzadeh said. Its advisers include Iran's leading experts on laser enrichment, he said.source
There are concerns that Venezuela's recent arms purhcases may have been shared with Columbia's Marxist guerrillas. The United States has now banned arms sales to Venezuela.
Asked whether Colombia's Marxist guerrillas could have received some of the 100,000 Kalashnikov automatic assault rifles that Venezuela bought in June, Gen. John Craddock, who heads the Miami-based U.S. Southern Command, said: "I don't know.""It appears that the number is in excess of the number of folks they have in their active military force," said Craddock, ...
Craddock faces confirmation hearings in Congress next week following his appointment in July by
President George W. Bush as Supreme Allied Commander Europe, and top commander of
NATO operations. source
What's the old saying, 'birds of a feather flock together'? Oh what a tangled web they weave, when they practice to deceive. How about Chavez and Ahmadinejad sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s--i-n-g ....

Perhaps he meant Bi-polar.

I didn't see Rosie O'donnells name mentioned. Don't tell me she wasn't at that meeting, it wouldn't have been complete without her.
"Laser enrichment"? Wotinhell kind of psychobabble crap is that? Those assclowns need some brain enrichment.
And Multi-polar. You bet. North Pole, South Pole, Polish Poles, polar bears, magnetic pole, barber pole, May Pole, man, we're just multi-polar all over the place. The man is brilliant.
On the serious side, I do feel sorry for the people of Venezuela. They sure screwed up electing Chavez, he's going to end up getting the country into war, smashed into rubble and a lot of them killed. I don't think that was the plan when they voted for him to supposedly turn around the corruption and give the country back to the people. This guy is going to set himself up as the Dictator of Venezuela instead of the democratically elected president he's supposed to be. You watch. There will be no more elections until they have another revolution, now.
