No I did not listen to the podcast for the Guard the Borders Blogburst. I had faith that Heidi from Euphoric Reality would not do something off the wall. I guess I should go listen and remove it.

I have been gone all afternoon and evening. Sorry you guys, great comments. I'll try to be around all day tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Debbie,

Have you listened to the podcast? It pretty much calls President Bush an arse and calls for his resignation.

That's completely unacceptable.

Sounds like Air America leftist shit...

What is up with that?

I won't get into the impeachment debate although I share the frustration. Bush could have given us vastly more secure borders, however. As President he has the power to do a great deal. For example, while exhorting Congress to fence and seal our borders, he could have simultaneously sent the National Guard there to repel invaders and I'm pretty sure he could have even sent the Army there. After all, our Presidents send the Army all over the world without congressional approval.

So when it comes to protecting our borders, I do think that Bush has indeed done the sorriest possible job and should go down as The Do-Nothing President in that regard.

About the ravings of this Dawood, it sounds like babble from a low-grade terrorist trying to get attention for himself. The Arabs are in awe of American technology and that's a plain fact. If nuclear material or actual bombs have been smuggled in and there's a plot to attack us with the stuff, the last thing any terrorist on the inside of this would do is blab about it. We have satellite detection of radioactive sources. Would they want us to give this issue vastly more attention by warning us?

BUT, I'll tell you what. The part about how all the muslims should immediately leave the country? Absolutely. Wonderful advice, Dagwood, I mean Dawood.

If there was any sort or type of radioactive or nuclear attack anywhere in the US, I guarantee you that a lot of the Mid-East would suddenly start glowing in the dark with a half/live of about 500 years or so. And they know it.

"it would only be right to impeach him"

I'm not so sure about this. How much power does the President (regardless of who it is) actually have to secure the borders. Isn't that under the purview of congress?

I know that Bush's plan to "secure" the borders is completely inadequate, but all he can really do is talk about it. It takes congress to actually do anything about it, doesn't it?

I'm not a big fan of Bush (though he was the lesser of two evils the last two elections), but I want to make sure we hold the right people accountable if and when something drastic occurs.

Yes Dawn, we have reported on this move for a bordlerless North America. I think it's a terrible idea and should never happen. I don't think Canada really wants this, but Mexico things it is a must.

I hate to break it to everyone. The US,Mexico, and Canada are going to be on big "North American Union". Read about it here: http://tinyurl.com/e9ue4, http://tinyurl.com/js2xp, http://tinyurl.com/jz5hc , and http://tinyurl.com/omrgs
