Mark Foley, Republican from Florida, pervert. There's no other way to put it, unless you use the word pedophile, sexual stalker, disgrace to humanity. His political affiliation has nothing to do with it. He is OUT and that is what matters.
In 2003, Foley faced questions about his sexual orientation as he prepared to run for Sen. Bob Graham's seat. At a news conference in May of that year, he said he would not comment on rumors he was gay. He later decided not to seek the Senate seat to care for his parents.According to the CREW posting, the boy e-mailed a colleague in Alexander's office about Foley's e-mails, saying, "This freaked me out." On the request for a photo, the boy repeated the word "sick" 13 times.
He said Foley asked for his e-mail when the boy gave him a thank you card. The boy also said Foley wrote that he e-mailed another page. [snip]
ABC News reported Friday that Foley also engaged in a series of sexually explicit instant messages with current and former teenage male pages. In one message, ABC said, Foley wrote to one page: "Do I make you a little horny?"
In another message, Foley wrote, "You in your boxers, too? ... Well, strip down and get relaxed." source
That's the same Mark Foley, who 'as chairman of the Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus, had introduced legislation in July to protect children from exploitation by adults over the Internet'.
He also sponsored other legislation designed to protect minors from abuse and neglect."We track library books better than we do sexual predators," Foley has said.
And he once accused the Supreme Court of "siding with pedophiles over children."
May he get everything he deserves!

Well, j.christ, I appreciate your comments. However, the Democrats are not exactly white as the driven snow. So who will you vote for? Or will you sit at home and not vote?
If you don't vote, you have no voice, no right to complain, because you decided not to participate in the process.
The burden that is upon you now, is to seriously look at all the candidates individually. Then look at all the issues. Decide what you believe, what you want the government to do and stand for. Then you must vote for the candidates that most accurately fall in line with your beliefs and vision for America.
I hope you will.
Pray and let God guide your decision process.

Got will strike those down that defile the temple! All those that support them and comfort them (Republican's) shall be put asunder. Can't support that party anylonger as they are no longer in God's true grace.

DRW, you are absolutely right. But who could we possibly vote for? It certainly can't be the Democratic party.
Thanks to their policies (and the use of the judicial activists), over 45 million American children have been brutally murdered.
Add to that the Democratic pedophiles (such as Stubbs) who were protected and coddled by the Democratic party and were actually relected by Democrats.
Add to that the gutting of the US military and reduction in military and veterans benefits (thank you President Clinton).
And let's not forget the brutal and vicious murder, by burning to death, of a religious group who had harmed no one (thanks Janet Reno).
Oops. I almost forgot to add in the vehicular homicide caused by the alcoholic Tedward Kennedy.
So, Republicans who threw Foley out as soon as this came to light are bad, but the Democrats who have done all of the above are good? You have a very odd sense of right and wrong.
I agree that the current Republican party, in general, are not doing a very good job at governing the country. But the Democrats, with their hate-mongering and obstructionism, would be even worse. Heck, they won't even tell the American people what their "plan" is!

This just goes to show what a bunch of sick individuals are in the Republican party - from Bush to Limbaugh, the list is growing. They are just a bunch of sick old white men who have held onto power for too long. It's high time the American public elect congress persons capable of representing the people's true wants and needs.

Usually, I have the harshest
of words for the FBI and the Republician members of
the 'religious right' including George W. Bush
who say one thing publicly
and practice another agenda
privately. But can we say
though all of the current revelations lately that none of us called 'human beings'are seldom if ever 'perfect'
in this lifetime; yet the
'species' has an inherent
buzz to judge others, to
relish in the plesure of
mudslinging!

MY FRIENDS AND MY FAMILY HAVE BEEN LIFELONG REPUBLICANS AND OVER THE LAST 30 YEARS WE HAVE DONATED OVER A MILLION DOLLARS TO THE REPUBLICAN CAUSE. NO MORE. MR. FOLEY HAS DESTROYED MY PARTY AND THE REPUBLICANS HAVE ONLY BEEN TOO WILLING TO PROTECT THIS SICK CHILD STALKER AND PERVERT. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE GIVE A DIME TO THE RNC OR ANY OF ITS PACS. I URGE EVERY TRUE CHRISTIAN TO CONTACT THEIR CONGRESSMAN AND DEMAND THAT FOLEY BE THROWN IN JAIL.

The FBI knew foley was a fag and because the FBI is full of queers they kept Foly in their closet, remember, J. Edgar Hoover,
everybody knew he was a homosexual and he was the head of the FBI.

Debbie: If they knew about this and did nothing about it, then they need to go. I realize that congressmen cannot be arrested or questioned by authorities while going to or from congress or while congress is in session, but all that means is that congress has to deal with it instead. Yet, by all accounts, they did not. In fact, he was left as Chairman of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children! I'm not saying that those congressmen who knew need to be arrested as Foley should be (unless, of course, it did go beyond emails and IMs), but they should certainly lose their leadership positions and/or their congressional seats.
BTW, Drumwaster says he doesn't know why it says your URL is blacklisted. He checked his database and you most definately are not blacklisted. He suggests registering without the URL and adding it in later or email him and he will add it.
He also thanks you for your kind words and your prayers.

Pervert--that exactly what Foley and his ilk are! Preying on children is the most grievous of sins, IMO.

I agree that he should have gone long ago. I'm not sure who knew what, when, but indications are that at least one year ago several folks knew about emails to former pages. So, yes something should have been done long ago.
I don't know that the people who knew/suspected should also go though.
What I'm wondering is ... did this go further than emails and text messages? Was there anything physical? If so, then yes, anyone who knew about it and didn't say or do anything should be held accountable somehow.

On one hand, I agree that this should not be a political issue. Foley is sick, demented, and just plain evil. It's a good thing he's gone and I hope he faces judgement.
on the other hand, it is a political issue. According to some sources, the Republican leadership knew about his...'indiscretions' (shall we say) for the last 10 months and, by all accounts, did nothing. Those that knew about this need to go as well. Proecting a criminal, regardless of his political affiliation, is wrong. Those that protected him are guilty of aiding and abetting his actions.

chairman of the Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus, had introduced legislation in July to protect children from exploitation by adults over the Internet
I guess he should know...
