According to a French secret service member, Saudia Arabia is reporting Osama bin Laden dead from “a very serious case of typhoid which led to a partial paralysis of his internal organs." Pakistan says "We have no information about Osama's death." Bin laden is supposed to have died on August 23, according to unconfirmed reports. The original leak cane from a French intelligence document and raises the possibility that Osama bin Laden may have died of typhoid in Pakistan a month ago.
We have heard reports of bin Laden's death before and take them with a grain of salt, but Mansoor Ijaz on Fox News states that maybe we should not discount this one so quickly, since the original source is Saudi Arabia. If anyone would have information about Osama bin Laden's death, it would be them.
President Jacques Chirac and other officials are launching an investigation as to the leak of the information, which came during a joint news conference betweet Chirac, President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel
l'Est Republicain, stated that Saudi intelligence officials "are now convinced that Osama bin Laden is dead."It said that "information gathered by the Saudis" from a source they considered reliable indicates that bin Laden "might have succumbed to a very serious case of typhoid fever resulting in partial paralysis of his lower limbs while in Pakistan on August 23, 2006.
"His geographic isolation provoked by constant fleeing is believed to have made medical assistance impossible (and) on September 4, 2006, the Saudi security services received preliminary information of his death."
It said the Saudis were "waiting to obtain further details and notably the exact place of burial before officially announcing the news." source
Typhoid fever is a serious infectious feverish disease with severe symptoms in the digestive system in the second phase of the illness. Typhoid is transmitted from human to human via food or drinking water, and it is therefore mainly hygiene and sanitary conditions that determine its spread. Typhoid and paratyphoid fever is caused by bacterium Salmonella typhi and is found only in humans. It enters the bowel, it penetrates through the intestinal mucosa, enters the bloodstream, then the bone marrow, liver, and bile ducts. (source) More information on typhoid here.
"The information defused this morning by the l'Est Republicain newspaper concerning the possible death of Osama bin Laden cannot be confirmed," a Defense Ministry statement said. The daily newspaper for the Lorraine region in eastern France printed what it described as a confidential document from the French foreign intelligence service DGSE citing an uncorroborated report from Saudi secret services that the leader of the al Qaeda terror network had died.
Intelligence sources tell CBS News that the document is an accurate reflection of what the Saudi intelligence agents believe. source
United States officials are discounting these reports until they can gain more information, along with Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Although it would be nice to have our guys send him to meet his god (in that very hot place he will be sharing with him), death by typhoid would be acceptable.
Hopefully it is true and we soon get confirmation...and then we can get on with killing the rest of them :)
