Pope's comments and Muslim reaction, let's review

Muslims around the world are upset with the Pope's comments on Islam. They say it's a religion of peace so what do they do? Riot, burn effigies of the Pope, and more.

The Pope spoke the truth and now Muslim groups are condemning the Pope and demanding an apology. (see Pope Benedict XVI condemns Islam's violence). How did the Religion of Peace around the world react?

Outbursts in India, Turkey, Pakistan, just to name a few. Is this the new Mohammed cartoon episode?

Regarding the Jihadists making the Pope's points for him, take for example, the head of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood - Hot Air reminds us of the cleric that gave young Ayman al-Zawahiri his start in fundamentalism, and who hinted yesterday that insulting the prophet could "trigger wars": Freedom's Zone and Hyscience

Muslims who have the exact same outlook as me are out there, it's just that none of us make the news because we don't bomb buildings to divert attention towards us. There are peaceful protests that occur quite frequently. Unfortunately, the media diverts America's attention towards those who decide to act irrationally. I would guess that if you were a Palestinian boy who watched your mother shot in the head by an Israeli soldier, you would not be willing to compromise with the Israelis; the people who you see as the enemy. Instead you would yell, "death to Israel," as well. I really believe that there is two sides to every story, and because the media has the power to twist the truth and portray the image of Muslims as that of terrorists, people like you are restricted to seeing the miniscule number of violent Muslims representing the 1.2 billion peaceful Muslims.

You are the first Muslim I have ever heard say that Israel has a right to exist. If many Muslims said this, the rest of us might have a different outlook on Islam.

I will have to disagree that Palestinians have a right to the West Bank and Gaza strip in the first place but that is an argument for another day. It seems as if Israel has tried to reach out to the Palestinians on this matter only to have rockets lobbed at them by Hezbollah in Lebanon.

When so many Muslims refer to the jews as pigs and apes, and we see Muslin children on TV shouting "death to Israel" and "Death to America", it is hard for the rest of us to see your religion as one of peace.

Maybe if a few more of you denounced the violence publicly you could change some minds.

I do believe Israel has the right to exist, with no doubt. It is the one place where Jews can call their homeland, and they have the right to be there. I do NOT believe it is justified for the Israelis to remove the Palestinians from what was originally their homeland. Yes, Israelis should live in Israel; No, Israelis should not raid Palestinian homes and kick them out of their rightful territory, such as West Bank and Gaza. What has been played into your minds is that Muslims are evil people. Let me clear this misconception and let you know now- Islam teaches to be peaceful and love each of your "brothers and sisters." You see only the violent people who claim to be Muslim, when really, they have disregarded the Muslim law. The Quran says something like, 'killing one man is like killing all of man kind; saving one man is like saving all of man kind.' The Prophet Muhammad was amongst the top three most positively influential history of all time. I am not sure where you get that he was a murderer, a rapist, a liar, or a child molester.. hmm.. did you read that in another anti-Muslim blog? I honestly do not have a reply to that question because it is so absurd and UNTRUE. That comment is simply disgusting. I grant you, polygamy is in fact allowed in Islam, although the practice is rarely seen today. The Prophet Muhammad acted kindly and equally to each of his wives, a quality a man MUST commit himself to if he choses to involve himself in polygamy.

You can be sure that the three major religions Islam, Christianity, and Jew; have been responsible for crimes against humanity and human culture. What the pope said about Islam was putting it mildly; but it also applies to Jew and Christian.
When Mohammad and is army of animal Arabs attacked Iran they forced people to convert by sword. They rapped, stole and killed. This is fact of history.
All you have to do to realize the evil nature of theses religions is read some of the original text in books like Koran and the Bible; to anyone with some intelligence it is clear that these books spread fear to humanity and are covered with words about punishment and hate. Pope Benedict XVI was very courageous in saying what needs to be said in regards to Islamo-Fascism. And he hasn’t apologized for what he said. He just said he is sorry that the Muslims were offended.

But, I guess the Muslims can’t handle the truth.
