Ahmadinejad has been in touch with God
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says he has 'been in touch with God' and is 'certain that Iran would prevail' over the West. I don't have a problem with being in touch with God. Most Christians are in touch with God several times a day, or as we like to put it, 'in a constant state of prayer'. Somehow I think Ahmadinejad means something more. What is interesting are the comments by the Commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards:
"We shall win," he was quoted in the Iranian media as saying Monday, and added: "One day I will be asked whether I have been in touch with someone who told me we would win, and I will respond: 'Yes, I have been in touch with God'.""We must not be afraid of them," he stated, hinting to the western countries. Ahmadinejad also noted that although he was at times mocked for his preoccupation with spiritual matters and his use of "divine" words," he was nevertheless certain that Iran would prevail, after having secured the support of international public opinion for its cause.
Meanwhile, Iranian news agencies reported Monday that Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi addressed the possibility of an attack on Iran and said, “If Americans and Zionists want to try their luck in Iran, they will experience a larger defeat than in Iraq.”
Safavi added during a memorial service held at his headquarters: “We are obligated to our fallen to maintain the readiness and deal a powerful blow on the enemies in case of an attack.
“The Basij (branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) and the Revolutionary Guards are so strong they will not allow the enemy to even think of launching an operation against Iran,” he said.
“The blood of our shahids will bring about not only the liberation of Jerusalem and Karbala (Iraq) but the liberation of all mankind from the evil powers of the world; the blood of our shahids boiled the blood of Muslims in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Lebanon, and they will overcome the evil Americans and Israel.” source
Shahids is translateed "a witness or martyr" and "It is a title that is given to a Muslim after his death, if he died during fulfillment of a religious commandment, or during a war for the religion."
In Balad, Iraq, "A police officer in Duluiya said members of the Mahdi Army militia loyal to the anti-American Shiite cleric Moktada al-Sadr were leading the violence with the aid of local police. Sadr has close connections to Iran.
I suggest everybody who has contact with God put in a petition for some Godly intervention in Iran, and maybe North Korea, and for sure Iraq, and don't forget to mention Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, Somalia, Venezuela, ............. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I think we should set up an appointment for Mahmoud to talk to God face to face. There's a discussion I'd like to see. My bet is it's a one sided conversation that doesn't end very well for Mahmoud. Can you imagine the expression on his face?
