Arson Fires in California and France
Today the word is 'fire', man-made fire. The fire in California that blackened nearly 24,000 acres, almost 38 square miles, in the San Jacinto Mountains just west of Palm Springs has killed 4 firefighters so far and was arson. The fires burning in areas around Paris are also arson. Reuters calls it a 'spate of arson attacks linked to the anniversary of riots in its multi-ethnic suburbs'
The Gulf Times gets it right, 'armed youths hijacked and set fire' to busses and cars. The 'youths' were heavily armed and hooded (sound familiar?). At least they hijacked the buses, drove them to another part of town and allowed the riders to exit before setting them on fire.
'Police have warned of an increase in tensions in recent weeks, as the anniversary of the riots approached', but what are they 'doing'? What has been done since the riots of last year?
Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin defended his government’s record in fighting deprivation in the high-immigration suburbs."If there is one field in which the government has acted with unfailing determination, it is in policy towards the (poor) neighbourhoods," Villepin said at his monthly press conference.
"Of course the problems are not all going to be sorted out overnight. But the government has embarked on a radical, long-term plan of action, and we are beginning to see the first results." source
What did some of the guilty 'youth' from last year have to say for themselves 12 months later? Let me remind you they are not in jail or being punished, they are back home in their 'immigrant' neighborhood.
If you run with a group, you have to run with the group. There was this kind of blind anger. It was like we all looked around us and asked, 'What is our future?'" --The two boys - polite, fresh-faced ex-rioters ...Since then, the government has promised hundreds of millions of euros in investment in the poorer estates; it has promised an end to job discrimination against youngsters of North African or African origin; it has promised to crack down on the endemic gang violence of the cités (public housing estates); it has promised to root out racism in the police.
But has anything changed? The two boys shake their heads. "Nothing has changed," they say. "Nothing has changed. Nothing has changed." source
Oh, poor innocent 'youths', led astray by their 'gang' and it's all the government's fault for not giving them enough. Boo fricking hoo. Cry me a river, please! The government's response was to make promises of more appeasement and if the 'youths' don't feel the government has done enough these 12 months later, what? More riots in November?
Lock these people up, deport them, make and enforce laws. For heaven's sake, who runs France? The 'youths' or the politicians???
Quote: "I am tired of ideological censorship. Western nations can never mount a defense against Muslim immigration if this is always dismissed as "racism". --Fjordman--
