USA Succumbs to Dhimmitude
The Saudi Prince and Fox News from Family Security Matters
At the annual meeting of News Corporation, parent of Fox News, chairman Rupert Murdoch confirmed that a call from a Saudi Prince had resulted in a change in how the Fox News Channel covered the Muslim riots in France in 2005. Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, a significant investor in News Corporation, told Murdoch he objected to highlighting the Muslim role in the riots. Murdoch said the change was made after it was determined that there was a Catholic role in the riots. In an October 25 editorial, "Europe's Muslims," the Washington Post noted that, "A year ago this week, riots erupted in mostly Muslim suburbs of Paris and other French cities…" (emphasis added).
I went back a year ago, looking at various reports of the riots. Molly Moore of the Post on November 5, 2005, reported that, "Much of the rioting has occurred in areas heavily populated by poor African Muslim immigrants… " (emphasis added).
Murdoch told me that the call from the Saudi Prince resulted in an investigation that resulted in the change of coverage. At the time, however, Claire Cozens of the Guardian reported that Alwaleed had claimed that the coverage was changed very quickly.
Guess Where this Happened, from In The Bullpen
Jamal Miftah is a Muslim who spoke out against Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden and the Islamist doctrine is now being ostracized by his local mosque for “offending Islam.” Miftah wrote a letter to the editor following the October 29, 2006 video tape released by Zawahiri.I ask that al-Zawahri look at his deeds and those of his master, Osama bin Laden, and other so-called Islamic jihadists.Because of lack of knowledge of Islam, Muslim youth are misguided into believing by the so-called champions of the cause of Islam that the current spate of killings and barbarism, which has no equal in the recent civilized history, is jihad in the name of Islam. They are incited, in the name of Islam, to commit heinous crimes not pardonable by any religion and strictly forbidden in Islam.
Where do you suppose this happened? Jordan? Turkey? England? Saudi Arabia? Pakistan? Would you believe this happened in Tulsa, Oklahoma and the mosque in question was the Islamic Center at Tulsa? It did.
Frank J. Gaffney, Jr. says there will be 'a two-day trip to the woodshed in Amman, Jordan with President Bush for Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.' Not likely, but wouldn't you like to be a fly on the wall and listen to their conversations? I'm afraid President Bush has succumbed to dhimmitude already.
Eliza Manningham-Buller—the head of MI5, the British domestic intelligence agency said, The extremists are motivated by a sense of grievance and injustice driven by their interpretation of the history between the West and the Muslim world.” The key words there are 'their interpretation' of history which is of course, not correct. The West, including the United States, seems to be adapting the incorrect beliefs of the terrorists and acting accordingly, acting like this is all our fault. That my friends is dhimmitude at it's worst.
The Combating Terrorism Center at West Point gives the correct motivation for the terrorists:
The contemporary members of the Salafi-Jihadist movement are motivated by an ideology that can be summed up as “the world is truly messed up, and only Islam is the answer, therefore we must do all that is necessary to tear down the existing order and replace it with one built on Islam.” Their vision of the future requires them to overthrow what they consider “apostate” regimes in the Middle East and replace them with governments that rule by Sharia law, but only until the Islamic caliphate can be reestablished to rule over the entire Muslim world. Attacks against Western targets (to include New York City and the Pentagon, London, and Madrid) are considered necessary because it is through alliances with powerful, industrialized Western nations that these apostate regimes are sustained. Finally, the magnitude of their long-term objectives requires the Salafi-Jihadis to mobilize the entire Muslim community and convince them that catastrophic violence is necessary to remove all the obstacles to a better (Islamic) future.
Iran's President believes the same thing:
Ahmadinejad Predicts Collapse of Israel, U.S., U.K.
(Bloomberg) -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad predicted the collapse of Israel, the U.S. and Britain, attacking what he called their ``oppressive behavior.''
Now that's rich .............. considering (not to many all those Iranian foreign legions in Lebanon (aka Hezbolla), Gaza (Hamas), Iraq (al Sadr)
``The Zionist regime is on a steep downhill towards collapse and disgrace,'' Ahmandinejad told supporters at a rally of Basiji militia forces near Tehran today. In a reference to the U.S. and U.K., he said ``the collapse and crumbling of your devilish rule has started.'' The speech was carried live on state television. AtlasShrugs
We know what the terrorists want, we know their motivation, and yet we still succumb to their demands here in the USA via groups like CAIR, the Islamic Thinker's Society, and on and on and on. Will we (the government) please see the error of our ways and CHANGE? I hope.

velvethammer, groups like CAIR exist because America has her head up her rear. No other excuse for it. Oh, right, we believe in freedom of expression even if it stabs us in the back.

Fantastic article Debbie! You know sometimes I feel as if are talking to a brick wall. But at least we are trying. I am so sick of all of this bowing down. Just sick about it. What must they be thinking? You give them an inch, they most assuredly will take a mile.
And the million dollar question is, why are c.a.i.r and the islamic thinker's society et all even allowed to exist??
On a funny side note, Firefox spell check tried to tell me that I should capitalize the "islamic" in "islamic thinker's society". I would if I had any respect but... I don't, so I won't.

Money rules. Including Arab money. Even so, Fox is the only one broadcasting Obsession repeatedly and I bet that prince is less than pleased.
I don't think we can reasonably expect Fox to take our view, at least not yet. In any case, they also present some leftists views. They try to be open to all opinions, which isn't always a good idea.

This really saddens me. Foxnews was my last holdout.
Geez...
Radical Islam is a cancer.
We've got to find the cure.
