A Fresh Start

We all wish for fresh starts, new beginnings, or maybe just 'do overs'. The thought of a new year bringing changes to the status-quo puts a little pep in our walk, a little smile on our faces. We think back to all the global conspiracies and hope for more truth in the new year. Bruno and the Professor tell of a 'global conspiracy expands to include punk rock. They say, "Shh . . . Don’t Tell Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Who Is Also Reponsible For Punk Rock". Hint, it's the Jeeeews.

At a recent panel discussion at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Lower Manhattan, Beeber and several illuminati of the early New York punk scene discussed among themselves how Jewish sensibility, consciously or unconsciously, was instrumental in creating the punk sounds, symbols and shtick, and how the Jewish-owned CBGB was instrumental in unleashing every parent’s worst nightmare. (read it all)

I guess Ahmadinejad will have to burn his Punk rock videos. heh Who do you think is the "Biggest Villian of 2006"? It really doesn't matter what you think, because the results are already in:

President Bush got more "biggest villian" votes than Osama bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Kim Jong Il, and Satan combined!

Proof positive that the MSM is still doing its job effectively. Northern Alliance Wannabe

Silly me, I thought it would be the "Jeeeews". It seems if you want to be popular in the world, all you have to do is hate the Jews and maybe have nukes. The Intelligence Summit says, "Iran may become one of the top 10 features of the outgoing year for a number of reasons, including its nuclear dossier and the Holocaust conference, as well as the anti-Israeli rhetoric of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

On the other hand, if you hate Bush you can also be popular. Take the Democrats, (please). How did they win the recent elections? It's Bush's Fault...

He was not conservative enough, he took on the fight way to late in the election, and he did not lead the conservative movement. So, a House and Senate has been elected that is going to find a way to raise taxes, promote class warfare, deteriorate National Security, continue to vilify the President, the military, and Conservative ideals, all while making it look like "Bush's Fault". (read more at Blue Collar Conservative)

I bet Bush wishes he had a 'do over'. Back to the Jeeews, I just read that Joe Lieberman has declared war on Iran. What? In a Washington Post Op Ed, Joe Lieberman 'all but declared war on Iran, identifying them as the equivalent of Al Qaeda, as the Real Enemy we are fighting':

While we are naturally focused on Iraq, a larger war is emerging. On one side are extremists and terrorists led and sponsored by Iran, on the other moderates and democrats supported by the United States. ...

On this point, let there be no doubt: If Iraq descends into full-scale civil war, it will be a tremendous battlefield victory for al-Qaeda and Iran. Iraq is the central front in the global and regional war against Islamic extremism.

I do believe that Iran is supporting and actively involved in the fighting in Iraq. Much has been made of Lieberman's lumping Iran and Al-Qaeda in the same basket. I'm not sure he was saying they are the 'same', obviously they are not. But they are both involved in terrorist activities and they are both fighting against the United States, and yes, against the Jeeews (Israel).

Dr. C notes:

What I really wanted to do, though, is to point out the tremendous fallacy in the Lieberman quote. That is, conflating Iran with al-Qaeda. Iran, along with the better part of Iraq and Lebanon, are Shiite. Al-Qaeda is most definitely Sunni (actually the core of al-Qaeda is of Sunni extremism: Wahhabism or Salafism which originated in Saudi Arabia, a Sunni country and our dearest friend.)

Where does Joe get his information? If Sunni and Shiite were going to cooperate in "terrorism" they would have cooperated in Iraq where they are killing each other in the most barbaric way.

Glenn Greenwald discusses Lieberman's article here, history leading up to the article, and is a worthy read.

The main point I think Lieberman was making, is that we are ALREADY at war with Iran. I believe that but some don't.

For your viewing pleasure, a video "Congratulations on the Eid To The Ummah of Tawhid” by Shaykh Ayman al-Zawahiri and produced by As Sahab Media is dated Dhu al-Hijjah 1427 AH / December 2006. I suppose this video came out in support of the release yesterday of a book by Zawahiri, written four years ago, called “On Loyalty and Friendship”. You can listen to the tape at Laura Mansfield. Hat tip Noisy Room.net and Michelle Malkin

On Zawahiri's book, Making Sense of Jihad
says:

Dr. Z must be somewhere real safe. Clearly, he has access to satellite news, regular meals, media producers, newspapers, , because he comments on current events -- and a courtyard garden (note the birds). The book itself is not the production of a man on the run. He may still be in Pakistan's NWFP, but he's certainly not roughing-it.

The United States is not going to get funds for a fence on our southern border to stop the flow of illegal aliens, but neither will Pakistan or Afghanistan get a fence to stop the flow of terrorists. Did they just vote in Democrats too?:

Pakistan and Afghanistan, both allies in the US war on terror, are no longer at ease. Pakistan’s move on Tuesday to fence and mine most of it’s 2,500km border with Afghanistan, as part of the war on terror to prevent cross border terrorism has increased tensions between the two countries. (more at BNN)

Back to the wall, the Palestinians and Israelies are having 'wall' disputes also. 'Around 200 hundred people, including international and Israeli activists, joined together in Bil'in village near Ramallah city in the West Bank for the weekly demonstration against the illegal annexation of the village's land by Israeli wall construction.'

When we all go to sleep on New Year's Eve, do we really have any hope that things will be different when we wake up on New Year's Day? What's that? YES, you answer? And right you are. We all have hope that with each new day, with each new sunrise, there is indeed potential for change in this world. Events can change in the blink of an eye, with the push of a button, with the wave of God's hand. So being the humans we are, we always hope for better times.

God bless you all and I pray you never lose hope for a brighter future.
