Dhimmi here, dhimmi there, ...
Keith Ellison has been reported to be associated with an extreme Muslim sect that recognizes no law as superior to Sharia, the Islamic code, and that preaches no Muslim can swear allegiance to the US Constitution, something required of Congressmen. He is also associated with American Open University, a radical Islamic school [ interesting choice of a name don't you think?] whose founder has denounced the US system of democracy as antithetical to Islam, and announced that laws contrary to their faith are prohibited. Conservative Sense asks, Assuming all this is verified, and I don't know if any of it appears to be disputed, should Ellison be allowed to take office, which according to scholars, is the perogative of the Congress to decide? According to the Jewish Forward, Michigan State University has agreed to a plan, (at the prompting, of course, of the Michigan chapter of CAIR), to offer diversity training to students and faculty, “focusing on Islam-related subjects.” Via Dearborn Underground (love them), who also has this:
"This community is angry. Something is going to happen. We're going to seek justice. This is a powder keg waiting to go off."No folks, that’s not Dawud Walid complaining about the reaction of the Arab Street (known locally as Warren Avenue) to the latest outrageous examples of Islamophobia. Those lines were contained in a note confiscated from Sisaye Dinssa, the unemployed young man arrested November 14 with $80,000 in cash he was smuggling through Metro Airport. As mentioned earlier, the bust was facilitated by a sniffer dog.
A federal grand jury indicted Dinssa for bulk cash smuggling, making false statements and criminal forfeiture. US District Judge Marianne O. Battani ruled that he must remain in detention because, his “ominous note and materials detailing nuclear power and how to commit suicide…raised ‘red flags’ in a post-Sept. 11 era”, as reported by the Associated Press.
Thank goodness for that judge. Now from Law, Lawyers and and Politics, and SGT TF Boggs' essay on the ISG:
After watching the Iraq Survey Group press conference today I am a firm believer that all politicians are idiots. Okay well not all of them but they all have a problem understanding reality.and . . .
What the group desperately needed was at least one their members to have been in the military and had recent experience in Iraq. The problem with having an entire panel with no one under the age of 67 is that none of them could possibly know what the situation is actually like on the ground in Iraq.
Be sure to read Debra Burlingame and the imam controversy at Donkey Flipping.com. This woman amazes me each time I hear her voice an opinion. She spits on dhimmitude.
Burlingame explains that today the Muslim American Society's (MAS) Executive Director Mahdi Bray seeks "hit [US Airways] where it hurts, the pocketbook." Joined by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), he seeks "...compensation for the imams, civil and federal monetary sanctions, and new, sweeping legislation that will extract even bigger penalties for airlines that engage in 'racial and religious profiling.'"Burlingame goes into detail describing the doctrine of "captain's authority." Basically, once you board a flight, the pilot and flight crew are responsible for your safety and security. (read more)
Lastly, according to the Persian Journal, 'Robert Gates, President Bush's nominee to be the new Secretary of Defense, is a defeatist in Iraq, and may be pro-Iran as well. ...
Gates is unwilling to sound the alarm about Iran. ... To simplify the issues, the main US enemy in Iraq is not Muqtada al-Sadr or the Sunni extremists, as argued by many experts at State and CIA. The enemy is Iran and its intention to pull down the states of Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria as a prelude to taking the entire Middle East.Once the threat from Iran in Iraq is acknowledged, the main direction of US defense policy in Iraq becomes evident. The main direction of US defense is to support Iraq's national liberation war against Iran. (more)
A dhimmi as secretary of defense here in the US? That's all we need.
