"It really is too bad that business has become an enemy of the people. People will never have a voice at work under capitalism."

Graeme, where did you ever get the idea that it is the prime mission of a businessman or corporation to see that the workers have a "voice"? It is the prime mission of that business' CEO and board members to see that the company produces profits for the stockholders. It is in a company's best interest I think to see that workers are treated well but the prime directive is to MAKE MONEY, not create a cozy little environment for the masses.

I guess you would rather we all worked 8 to 5 in little friendly government created jobs with the wages handed out equally to all regardless of ones initiative or abilities.

The alternative to capitalism is socialism or communism. I believe I'll go with capitalism and the free market any day.

By the way, if you don't have a "voice" at your job or you simply don't like your job, quit complaining and go find another.

Remember, it is businessmen and entrepreneurs that create all the jobs for the vast majority of people. Go ask a politician or a bum for a job and see how far you get.

Thanks for the link and mention! If you get a chance drop by and nominate a blogger for that Halo!

Thank you!!! The music is back up at my place.

THANK YOU!!!! And I put the music back up!!!! Now I'm off to Napster....

It really is too bad that business has become an enemy of the people. People will never have a voice at work under capitalism. Ever since we let corporations gain "personhood" under the law, we have seen a steady influx of private tyrannies. One tyranny merging with another. The government bailing out tyrannies left and right. I don't even think in Stalin's Soviet Union they had to ask to go to the bathroom.

Edwards is a hypocrite and a real loser. He touts his stuff saying he is for the poor, yet robbed people blind as a lawyer so he could pad his bank account and now he is 'fat'. I do not trust him. The fact he teamed up with Kerry in '04 has nothing to do with it--that so-called "pretty boy" is dishonest and can be trusted about as far as I can see the tip of my nose--and that might even be giving him a bit too much leeway.
