Pelosi, Pelosi, Pelosi

When Nancy Pelosi visited Iraq last week, The Student Operated Press reports she was met with dancing in the streets:

Unfortunately, the celebrants were all insurgents, or to be more accurate, terrorists, including thugs from Al-Quaeda. That would be the same Al-Quaeda that Pelosi continues to insist has never been, and will never be, in Iraq.

Others joining in the festive party making include Jihadists sent by Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, terrorists sent by Syria's President Bashar al-Asad, and a special greeting envoy sent by Osama bin Laden.

Pelosi has not been touted by this many criminals and social untouchables since San Francisco natives went ballistic over her reelection last November.

Of course the Iranians, Syrians, Iraqi insurgents, and Osama's hit men were deliriously happy to see Pelosi in town. They realize that the Speaker is on their side and will do anything, and everything, to prevent President Bush from winning the war.

In fact, the terrorists regard Pelosi so highly that they had planned to designate her as an honorary imam, the only woman so honored.

But when Pelosi attempted to pull the niqab veil over her head, she found that the garment was about five sizes too small.

Pelosi staffers deny that the Speaker's head has grown that much since her coronation on January 5.

But have no fear, Pelosi has a plan to save Iraq, "Make Love, Not Jihad!"

While meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki in Baghdad this weekend, Speaker Nancy Pelosi presented her program for ending the violence and for making Iraq a respectable, civil nation in the world community.

Speaker Pelsoi titled her program "Make Love, Not Jihad." The Pelosi program is patterned after the City Charter in San Francisco and includes the following recommendations: (read it all here)

Pelosi's plan includes: Gun Control; Declare Iraq a "Terror-Free" Zone; Reduce "Pressure" on Iraq's Borders; Make Suicide Bombing a Capital Offense; Eliminate Death Penalty; Diversity and Tolerance Workshops; Reduce Dependence on Foreign Revenues, Stop Global Warming; Higher Taxes, Redistribution of Wealth; Abortion on Demand: A Fundamental Female Right; Universal Health Care. Whew, some people are just too easy to make fun of. It's too bad she's not running for president in 2008. Pelosi vs Clinton in the Democratic race would be such fun.

On a serious note in Iraq, reports that 200 (some reports say 300) terrorists were killed in Najaf by U.S.-backed Iraqi troops. American tanks, fighter jets and helicopter gun ships were involved. This was a plot by a group called the Jund al-Samaa, or Soldiers of Heaven, to kill pilgrims at a major Shiite Muslim religious festival.

Defense Ministry spokesman Mohammed al-Askari said the Iraqi troops killed 200 terrorists, wounded 60 and captured 120 in the operation, lowering previous counts based on what he said were the most recent figures he had received. (more)

The 'surge' hasn't even begun and things seem to be looking up. I believe the positive news we are hearing is due to the change in the Rules of Engagement for our troops. It sure doesn't have anything to do with fear of the Democrats in Congress.

Funny analogy on the right vs. left. It sounds like the right believes in anarchy. I'll go with that. Survival of the fitest or most heavily armed. If you dont have the balls to stomp your way to the top then stay on the bottom and I'll use you as a springboard. Warms my heart to think of it.

Personally, I prefer green. :-P

Seriously though, Thomas, good breakdown of left vs right (or is that wrong vs right? I can never remember).

LEFT

Government is what makes this country great.

RIGHT

Rugged individualism is what makes this country great.

LEFT

It takes a village.

RIGHT

It takes strong individuals.

LEFT

High taxes, big government.

RIGHT

Low taxes, small government. Get the government out of my life.

LEFT

Woe is me! Someone else is to blame for my trouble. Call a lawyer.

RIGHT

Personal responsibility. Your position in life is due to the choices YOU make.

LEFT

It is the duty of business to create a comfortable little job for me. EVIL WALMART!

RIGHT

It is the duty of business to make money and pay its stockholders. GO WALMART!

LEFT

It is the job of government to wipe my butt from cradle to grave.

RIGHT

It is the job of government to get out of my way so I can wipe my own butt. After a while without government interference I will become an expert at it.

LEFT

Let’s all make nice and try and understand why they hate us so.

RIGHT

There are bad people in the world. They want to kill us. You cannot negotiate with these people. We need to kill them all and we need to kill them NOW!

LEFT

From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.

RIGHT

Mr. Marx, if I am smart and work hard, I and only I should reap the fruits of my labor.

Red or blue? YOU DECIDE!

It really depeds on where you live. I would have to say her in Portland we have a left view but in many places I have visited the majority of the people have a rigth view. It's why we have red and blue states.

I must live in another world. Most of the people I know and associate with believe the same way I do.......like most of the opinions expressed on this blog.

And yet here you are reading it.

This blog is so far from the reality of most Americans that it seems to be almost unreadable.
