The Iranian Who Seeks An Apocalypse at Freedom's Zone:

Michael Burleigh's commentary at Telegraph.co.uk offers some chilling facts about Iran's president:
{...} One person we will be hearing much about in 2007 will be Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He's the hollow-eyed engineer and town planner (and former Revolutionary Guard) who in 2005 went from being Teheran's answer to Ken Livingstone to President of Iran. He's the fellow stringing along the international community while his scientists try to manufacture a nuclear bomb before America or Israel decides to degrade or destroy key experimental sites. He says appalling things with demented glee in his eyes.

According to today's Spectator, Ahmadinejad may actually welcome such an attack, since this will "justify" a retaliatory strike against Israel with nuclear weapons acquired from the former Soviet Union. ...

However, even more frightening is the naivite' of many of the commenters to his piece (bottom of article). The world slept through Hitler at it's peril. The peril that the world is now sleeping through could be it's last.

On Thursday, January 4th, Minority Whip Roy Blunt (R-MO) selected Marsha Blackburn U.S. REPRESENTATIVE TN-7 to serve as Deputy Whip for the House GOP. Blackburn will work closely with Minority Chief Deputy Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) in communicating with fellow Republican members the goals and strategies needed to oppose the tax and spending policies soon to be introduced by the Democrat majority.

Marsha Blackburn is an excellent choice. This women GETS IT. She understands WHO America's enemy is and what needs to be done. Support Marsha Blackburn.

You guys are both right, it is scary and talking won't do any good with Iran. With other countries, maybe, but not with Ahmadinejad. He is committed, he is consumed with bringing down Israel, bringing down, Western nations specifically the USA.

Iran would love to play the victim here. Its their only strategy.

It's a scary world, and it seems no matter what we do it gets scarier, but I still fail to accept that just a lot of talking with these madmen will accomplish anything but our demise. I still believe action, some kind of action, will keep us sovereign, and free.
