UK thwarts beheading

Nine arrested in the UK on "suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism". Terrorism officials uncovered an alleged plot to kidnap a Muslim soldier and behead him and display the video on the internet. Police and MI5 searched 12 addresses in the Sparkhill, Washwood Heath, Kingstanding and Edgbaston areas of Birmingham.

Birmingham has a 14 percent Muslim population and 11 percent of its residents are of Pakistani descent, according to a 2001 census of the U.K. population. The inner-city area of Sparkhill has an ethnic minority population of 66 percent. (source)

Note, suspects were detained under the Terrorism Act 2000, and officials did not wait until they had actually carried out an act of terrorism. I praise them for this. Currently the Home Office rates the terrorist threat to the U.K. as ``severe,'' the second highest level, meaning that an attack is highly likely.

This plot would be the first time to my knowledge that a hostage would be taken and then beheaded on UK soil, or American soil for that matter.

There are 330 Muslims in the British armed forces. Jabron Hashmi, 24, the first British Muslim soldier to die in the so- called ``war on terror,'' was from Birmingham and was born in Pakistan. The Lance Corporal was killed fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan in July and 400 people attended his funeral at the Central Jamia Mosque in Birmingham. (source)

Jabron Hashmi was called a traitor by some in his neighborhood. I suppose they think kidnapping a patriot and beheading him is a sign of heroism. They are wrong.

Words of wisdom coming out of the mostly Pakistani community:

"People don't trust their own children any more," said Shabir Hussain, chairman of the nearby Ludlow Road Mosque in Birmingham. "You feel like you should challenge your son or daughter: 'Where are you going at night? What are you watching on TV? What are you doing on the Internet?' (source)

Yes, Mr. Hussain, you need to find out what your children are doing. If they are hanging out with potential terrorists, in the many so called 'book stores' that provide Islamic hate materials, or in mosques that preach jihad is the only way, .... it's already too late.

Congratulations to the counter-terrorism authorities and on the new laws that have been passed in the UK to investigate, arrest and prosecute terrorists.

As I noted yesterday, "Thirty-seven per cent of 16- to 24-year-olds in Britain would prefer to live under Sharia law; 74 per cent of young Muslims would rather Muslim women wore the hijab; and 45 per cent of British Muslims believed that 9/11 was an American-Israeli conspiracy.

These would-be terrorists were .... come on, you know, .... Muslims. Islamic terrorists. Before someone calls me a racist (Islam is not a race), or an Islamophobe, do you hear anything about Christians (or Jews, or Hindus, or Buddhists, or Jehovah's Witnesses, or whatever) beheading others for the fun of it, videotaping it and running it on the internet? I didn't think so.

I think that it is great that the counter-terrorism authorities had clamped down and arrested those terrorists and it's good news about the new laws that have been passed in the UK to investigate, arrest and prosecute terrorists.

When I read this headline “Beheading Plot Foiled”, I thought to myself: ‘who could be responsible for this plot? Could this be the work of radical Baptists? Mormons perhaps? Or Hindus or Sikhs or Buddhists?’ How astonishing that it was in fact perpetrated by Muslims! Of course, they are just following their ‘prophet’s’ example, who in his time ordered the murder of the poet Ashraf merely for writing something that Muhammad didn’t like. And he authorized ‘deviousness’ to accomplish it! These are from Islam’s own scriptures, google them for yourself if in doubt…

Bukhari:V5B59N369 "Allah's Apostle said, ‘Who is willing to kill Ka'b bin Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle.' Thereupon Muhammad bin Maslamah got up saying, ‘O Allah's Apostle! Would you like me to kill him.' The Prophet said, ‘Yes.' Maslamah said, ‘Then allow me to say false things in order to deceive him.' The Prophet said, ‘You may say such things.'"
Tabari VII:94. "Ashraf suspected no evil when Maslama cried, ‘Smite the enemy of Allah!' So they smote him, and their swords clashed over him. Maslama said, ‘I remembered my dagger and I seized it. I thrust it into the lower part of his body. I bore down upon it until I reached his genitals. Allah's enemy fell to the ground.'"
Ishaq:368 "We carried his head back to Muhammad during the night, saluted the Prophet as he stood praying, and cast Ashraf's head before his feet. The Prophet praised Allah that the poet had been slain, and complimented us on the good work we had done in Allah's Cause. Our attack upon Allah's enemy cast terror among the Jews, and there was no Jew in Medina who did not fear for his life."
Ishaq:368 "Ashraf's body was left prostrate. After his fall, all of the Jews were brought low. Sword in hand we cut him down. By Muhammad's order we were sent secretly to his home by night. Brother killing brother. We lured him to his demise with deviousness. We made him taste death with our deadly swords. We sought victory for the religion of the Prophet."
Tabari VII:97 "The morning after the murder of Ashraf, the Prophet declared, ‘Kill any Jew who falls under your power.'"

Night Rider, you know the UK has new laws that let them do a LOT more that we do here in the US. They can wire tap, and do all sorts of things much easier than we can. Also they can detain potential terror suspects for a much longer time, before they must actually arrest and prosecute them, that gives them more time to investigate.

Interestingly, at the same time the UK is also handing out guidebooks on the proper police behaviour when dealing with Muslims. So you have the local cops hamstrung while the highest levels have almost no restrictions. It's gotta be tough to be law enforcement in the UK. It's only a matter of time before they will be forced to kick all Muslims out.
