Anti-Amnesty Advocates March in the Streets ...
No, the anti-amnesty advocates are not marching in the streets, but readers are wondering why not. Why aren't the anti-immigration bill folks out in the streets marching like the illegals did in 2006 and 2007? A reader of Right Truth asks this question via email. It's a good question, but the answer is that we have marched in Washington and hardly anyone noticed.
Why? Good question. Maybe because the illegals were out in greater numbers than we were. Maybe because the MSM loves to report on the poor 'immigrants' and doesn't give a crap about the rest of us. Reader Steve Wright says Canada and the United States have a right to control our borders and our destiny. He believes that Washington would pay attention if we filled the streets. He could be right.
The real answer is that the illegals are more organized that we are. They have groups like LaRaza and the other open-border groups, they have money, they have backers. We are organized to a point, in many different groups. But we are NOT organized under one umbrella. This makes a big difference.
Have we waited too long to do this? Is there still opportunity for further marches to expand on the "Keep Their Feet to the Fire" marches earlier this year? I honestly don't know. I'm afraid that our elected officials don't want to hear what we have to say. They want to shut up talk radio, they don't take our calls or emails any more. We are the Cinderellas of the voting public.
Reader Steve Wright is also upset about the Illegals Burn Pristine Forests - Undocumented Americans! that Maggie's Notebook reports on today. I don't blame him.
Illegals using fire to clear border from The Washington Times:...some of the country's most pristine national forests are being targeted by illegal aliens, who are using intentionally set fires to burn agents out of observation posts and patrol routes. The wildfires also have resulted in the destruction of valuable natural and cultural resources in the National Forest System and pose an ongoing threat to visitors, residents and responding firefighters,...
How will the environmentaliststs spin this?
Reader Mary Chamberlain points out Harry Reid may use a Rare Tactic May Allow Immigration Votes. They are underhanded, slimy, sneaky politicians who will do anything that suits their needs, not ours. That's why we need Fred Thompson.
From Toni and Bear Creek Ledger
Illegal alien Victor Javier Benitez ‘allegedly’ murdered Joycelyn R. Gardiner early Saturday morning. Benitez ran a red light t-boning Gardiner and killing her. There were NO SKID MARKS from Benitez’s vehicle. He was intoxicated and combative. And of course Benitez has been convicted a number of times for criminal acts in Nashville alone.Yep, just another one of those illegal aliens Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid, Lindsey Graham, John McCain……. they want to reward with amnesty. It’s another case where 2 local judges convicted Benitez him and released him. Not deported!

Dear Sir.
Something is broken in our system, as we well know. The following scenario plays out in the Courtrooms everyday, in Orange County Florida.
A defendant commits a crime, say, dealing in drugs. The defendant is an illegal alien. The defendant agrees on a plea agreement, rather than jail or prison time.
The judge reads the plea agreement which lists, “if you are not an American citizen, your plea to this charge may lead to your deportation.” So Far so good.
The defendant is then placed on probation. During probation, sometimes, ICE gets involved and starts deportation action.
The defendant then comes back to court to withdraw the plea, which may stop the deportation.
The judge, agrees on the withdrawal and the person goes on as if they are a normal citizen. That is the process.
Here is a story that came to light today in Orange County Court. 11 Feb 2008
The defendant came to the US at age 7. The country was Ethiopia. The defendant is now 32. The defendant had a conviction of drugs at age 20. The defendant spent 2 years on probation. Now the defendant wants to become a citizen. A lawyer told her she is probably going to be deported and she is not eligible to get her citizenship due to her drug charge. Naturally, she wants to withdrawal her original plea so it will not be reflected on her record as criminal. The judge advised her that if she does that, she will be retried on the original charge. The defendant is willing to do this. The judge made ruled on the motion to withdraw the plea. The judge is going to have the case retried and since she has no record, withhold adjudication, which allows her to apply and become a citizen.
This defendant has three children (all born in the US, so they are natural citizens by birth) None of the children have the same father. She is not married. The welfare has been taking care of this person, and family.
Our laws work for the benefit of those who need it…Something needs to be revised. These laws should reflect the crime and punishment once served, they can’t withdraw the plea. But, they are able to navigate through the legal system and become citizens

Dana: I'm sorry about your situation, but at least you have seen the light. No it isn't fair to you or to your beautiful daughter. We are working hard, but it seems progress is slow in Washington and in local communities.
I have known others in your situation, where the man has a family back home, yet he sleeps with American women, gets them pregnant, won't support the child.
I'm very sorry.

My daughter's dad is an illegal. We just went to court for him to have visitation, oh yeah he took me and isnt paying any child support either. How can an illegal take me to court for visitation? Do you really think that they did anything bout him being illegal? What is wrong with our court systems these days? I may have not been the sharpest crayon in the box for getting involved with a mexican, but wouldn't trade my daughter back for the world. I just recently found out that he has wife and kids in Mexico. We need to put a stop to them coming over here!! They have families back home and then they make families here to try to get legal. All of this through the courts, I feel like he has more rights here then I DO!!!

Rastaman, thanks for sharing that. I have a feeling many readers might agree with you, but keep their feelings to themselves because that would be so politically incorrect. Certainly those living on the border feel that way.
Thanks everybody for the comments. I appreciate it.

Rastaman is dead on target IMO. As we approach the next elections, it would seem that each and every candidate from the local mayor and sheriff to the President should be asked the one critical question of what they would do with illegal aliens. The wrong answer gets the negative vote.
The election booth is our most powerful message.
And that means that if a Republican gives the wrong answer...how many of you would have voted for President Bush if we knew his position on amnesty? Actually, most, because no one could have voted for Kerry. No we have a dilemma.

I have a radical thought. Which is, why should we have to march in the first place? I mean, is this real? Americans should have to march in the streets to protest hordes of illegal aliens who are counter-marching against us and probably shooting some of us anonymously from the crowd?
If those we pay to protect us and our borders won't or can't do their jobs, then we shouldn't be marching to get rid of the illegals. We should be getting rid of those we pay, for one, and getting rid of the illegals any way necessary, for two.
I've said this repeatedly. Now I'll do it again. Shoot them.
Shoot people who illegally cross our borders. Aim to kill. It won't be necessary to kill very many. The rest will get the message and stop coming. Then we start shooting the ones we catch here. Soon they'll get the message too and go back home.
When I was a little boy, my father, who had joined the local Sheriffs Posse, used to go with them to a high dirt berm overlooking the railroad tracks, with their rifles, and shoot the Mexicans who rode the tops of the boxcars. I know this because my father told me about it. My 10-year-old response was one of horror. That was then. I can tell this story now because all of those guys are dead and you only have my hear-say word for it anyway.
Well, now I see it differently and I wish we had Sheriffs Posse's back in business again, now that we need them. We need people to go out and enforce the laws of our land against invasion and do it any way necessary.

Maybe us anti-illegal immigration folk are too busy working for a living?

I can listen to it Debbie, keep writing about it. Levinites, (us Mark Levin Fans who listen daily) dial daily, we call it the 'surge'. We call and call Congress until we can not stop calling. Do we protest, not in the same way the illegals do, but we will in a way the Senate and House will understand, 'no vote for you'.
The organization the illegals have comes from that wonderful group known as Peace for Justice, among others. The illegals have the unions, the radical left and yes, they are more adept in protesting, I give you that fact.
If those so called Repugs think that we will forget this, they are sorely mistaken. It will be a long winter next year for most of them as they find their seats have been replaced in Congress. We can either do something or not. It is now our country to lose or regain. Great post.
