Episcopal priest announces she’s a Muslim, too. What?
How can you be a Muslim AND an Episcopal priest at the same time. Answer, you CAN'T ! No way.
Shortly after noon on Fridays, the Rev. Ann Holmes Redding ties on a black headscarf, preparing to pray with her Muslim group on First Hill.On Sunday mornings, Redding puts on the white collar of an Episcopal priest.
She does both, she says, because she’s Christian and Muslim.
Redding, who until recently was director of faith formation at St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral, has been a priest for more than 20 years. Now she’s ready to tell people that, for the past 15 months, she’s also been a Muslim – drawn to the faith after an introduction to Islamic prayers left her profoundly moved.
Her announcement has provoked surprise and bewilderment in many, raising an obvious question: How can someone be both a Christian and a Muslim?
But it has drawn other reactions too. Friends generally say they support her, while religious scholars are mixed: Some say that, depending on how one interprets the tenets of the two faiths, it is, indeed, possible to be both. Others consider the two faiths mutually exclusive. (source)
Let me clear up any difficulty those friends and experts are having. You cannot be Christian AND Muslim. Period.
THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH IS DISINTEGRATING, The Astute Bloggers and Mark Steyn

You didn't really think I'd pass this one by, did you?
Muslims worship death. This is not arguable. Muslims are told they will be given 72 virgin females and 27 pretty young boys to have sex with in Paradise if they die as martyrs, killing muslims they consider apostate and killing non-muslims, and this is clearly spelled out in the koran.
No other religion worships death. Christianity, in fact, worships life and the murder of others is a major sin. You can go to Hell, not Paradise.
Islam is outright fascism, promulgated by an insane murderer and terrorist named Mohammed. Jesus was the polar opposite of Mohammed.
It is absolutely not possible to be a Christian and a muslim simultaneously. This woman has made too many trips to the moon. Those little moon people have filled her head with green cheese.

Many would call a female priest the first problem as it seemingly violates their NT beliefs.
This is a very confused woman to say the least.

You can be ethnically Jewish and be a Buddhist. Not religiously Jewish and religiously Buddhist.
And I find even the first part of that arguable. People who claim that you can be two religions at once usually have an agenda and a blatantly dishonest one, ala scientology.

Well, this is a first. I know of Jews who are also Buddhist, but that's something totally different.
Watch, she'll soon leave behind her Christianity.

It makes me proud to be a Southern Baptist! No one questions where we stand. I didn't want to be the one to say anything about the Episcopalians, but ... They lost their direction as a demonination long ago. That's no comment on individual members.

Sounds to me like she's just an idiot.
As for Islam's using the "superceding" line, dind't Christianity use that one on Judaism? I think it was called "replacement theology."
It didn't work then, and it won't work for Islam.

Yeah, I caught this one too. Absurd? Not really. It seems like the only requirement to be episcopalian in America anymore is to show up at the lobbying office, uh, I mean church.

Sultan Knish, you said it. It's all very subtle for some, they don't see it coming, but we do. Inch-by-inch. This woman should be kicked out of the Episcopal church and stripped of her robes.

beware this is the next phase of the muslim advance, which will insist that everyone is truly a 'muslim' as long as they accept god and that christians and jews can only become properly fulfill their faith by becoming Muslims
anyone who has ever debated muslims online has seen this line advanced time and time again
Islam is trying to turn itself into a meta-religion superseding local religions but more liberalized clergy become perfect vehicles for this since they lack any real belief in their own faith
