Tony Blair moving to Jerusalem, will his neighbors be happy?
Tony Blair's seat as Prime Minister of Britain is still warm, and he has moved on to take the new position of special envoy to the Middle East. In reality, he will be assisting the Palestinians.

Tony Blair will be moving to Jerusalem to become the Quartet's special peace envoy to the Middle East. -- A statement released Wednesday by U.N. headquarters in New York confirmed Blair's appointment, which was reportedly agreed upon yesterday in Jerusalem at a meeting of the Quartet, the diplomatic grouping made up of the United States, Russia, the European Union and the United Nations.
As envoy, Blair is charged with mobilizing international assistance to the Palestinians, securing support for the institutional governance needs of the future Palestinian state, promoting Palestinian economic development, and coordinating Quartet objectives with other countries. Just what is it that the Palestinians stand for, what do they really want, and why in the world is Tony Blair now their shill?
Abbas, appearing on a podium alongside Iraqi President Jalal Talabani, said Hamas had committed “crimes, murder and aggression against everything Palestinians stand for” in its takeover earlier this month of the Gaza StripPardon my ignorance here, but, what is it exactly that the “Palestinians” stand for? The only standard I know that they carry is the “Run Israel into the sea” banner. Homicide bombings, corruption, despotism, poverty, hatred are all things I see coming out of “Palestine”. Is there anything positive?
I am no longer for the two state solution. The “Palestinians” have proven time and again that they lack the faculties and the desire to run their own state. (Gentile Warrior via Dhimmitude News Network)
All this needs to be taken into consideration when we view the car bombs threats in London early this morning.

The Quartet already has three strikes against it. These are better known as Russia, the European Union, and the United Nations. If anyone expects a neutral or pro-western agenda here, they still believe in Tinker Bell.

Freedom Now, you are correct. The Brits today are saying he could have been much more strict on the terrorists, on the Muslims in Britain, and that things are going to change with Brown in position now. I hope this is true.
We need to get strict here also, perhaps when Bush is gone, and Thompson takes over??? heh

Tony has always been a bleeding heart for the Palestinian issue.
He does have a point. A lot of extremism is generated by Islamist prejudice against the Jews.
However, the Wahhabi Sunni teachings that come from Saudi Arabia would still be dedicated to hate against other religions even if Israel was destroyed.
Religious identity is very strong in Islam. When you attack an Egyptian, Algerian, Saudi Arabian or similar nationalities you are attacking a Muslim.
When you attack a citizen of the U.S., Britain, France, Germany or similar you are attacking a nationality not a Christian.
Do you see the difference?
