The United States is ready to place sanctions on Iranian organizations like the Revolutionary Guards, all individuals and organizations connected to Iran's biological, nuclear, chemical programs, anyone or group connected to funding al-Qaeda, Hezbollah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad. U.S. officials have called Iran a "central banker of terror." (Kiplinger.com )
The UN is also considering further sanctions.
Iran has denied any connections between the Republican Guards and the nuclear program and say sanctions on them will only make them stronger.
Iran's Ali Larijani and the EU's Javier Solana are scheduled to meet. Also Larijani will be meeting with the IAEA inspector ElBaradei.
U.S. President George W. Bush said today that "all options are still on the table."
One problem we have in the with Iran now is the connections they have throughout the Middle East. Hezbolla, Hamas, Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, West Bank, Iraq, ...

Last week I published a Bill Gertz story quoting sources that the US had been warning gulf 'allies' that we are out of there, the entire region by 2009. If we look at the META actions of the Bush admin since the 2006 election, we can see that this administration, far from being devoted to principle, is, as is PelosiReid slavishly pimped out to polls. Polls which may not even reflect the true wishes of the american electorate (I can make up any question to get any answer).
