Al-Qaeda cooks Iraqi children, literally

Al-Qaeda making friends and enemies in Iraq by killing, roasting, and serving children to their parents. I should be shocked, but these are barbarians who will stoop to anything ... anything. Does anyone think they would do any less to Americans, if given the opportunity?

The official reported that on a couple of occasions in Baqubah, al Qaeda invited to lunch families they wanted to convert to their way of thinking. In each instance, the family had a boy, he said, who was about 11 years old. As LT David Wallach interpreted the man’s words, I saw Wallach go blank and silent. He stopped interpreting for a moment. I asked Wallach, “What did he say?” Wallach said that at these luncheons, the families were sat down to eat. And then their boy was brought in with his mouth stuffed. The boy had been baked. Al Qaeda served the boy to his family. [Emphasis mine]

I have no interest in defaming Islam. I am keen to see Muslim Iraqis working with Coalition forces to root out Islamist extremists and Baathist holdouts.

However, that doesn’t mean that I should excuse what I believe to be an apathetic reaction to Islamic terrorism by the Muslim community, as well as large scale apologist sympathies that also exist.

In particular, bigoted attitudes towards Jews are socially acceptable among mainstream Muslims and anti-Americanism is rapidly resembling the same.

TH: Nope, not gonna happen...because that comment was supposed to have been removed (posted in haste and anger).

Freedom Now: If you aren't someone who uses the term "religion of peace" or actually blame all Muslims for what has happened, then perhaps you are owed an apology. HOWEVER, Uberkoen did not defame Christianity. And HOWEVER, anyone who uses such terms disrespects two of my best friends, one a Palestinian and the other a Pakistani.

I’m truly sorry if it seemed as though I was defaming Christianity. That is not what I meant to do. I have the utmost respect for the religion. What I was trying to do was to show that there are extremists in all religions and that this problem is not only confined to Islam.

The fact is that the Islam practiced by these terrorist organizations isn’t the real Islam. They are using the religion for their political agenda. They take out of Islam what suits them and leave out what doesn’t.

The Shariah law isn’t barbaric at all but has been made to look as though it is because of these terrorist organizations. What I’m trying to do here is to differentiate Islam from these terrorists. I’m trying to show the world that what they do is not Islamic at all but they only use it as a cover for their political agenda. I’ve said time and time again that not only are these organization harming non-Muslims they are doing exact same thing to Muslims.

What they practice is without a doubt dangerous and these terrorists need to be stopped. More and more Muslims are starting to speak up against them and so they should. The world should unite in taking them down but, as I said earlier, what needs to be understood is that Islam does not in any way condone or encourage what these people are doing.

The Prophet himself once said :

"Beware of extremism, for it is that which destroyed the people before you." -Prophet Muhammad

Stormwarning,

You are profoundly mistaken to believe that I am Islamaphobic. If you can show me where I wrote anything hateful towards Muslims then I am willing to apologize. You can search the entire archives of my blog, go right ahead.

It is not a fair thing to say because I have quite often argued with bloggers who claim that Muslims must be wiped out. I am against all such acts of bigotry.

However, the comparison of Christian extremism to Islamic extremism is disingenuous.

My statement stands, I did not say ‘the last attempted abortion clinic bombing’ I stated, “When was the last abortion clinic bombing?”

My follow up question was even more relevant, “How widespread is the problem?”

The Worldwide Islamic Jihad has cast a shadow all over the world. From Argentina, NY, London, Spain, Algeria, Nigeria, Chad, Sudan, Kenya, Somalia, Egypt, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Turkey, the Soviet Republics, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines (this is an incomplete list of course).

When you get on a plane do you worry about Christian suicide bombers? Do Christians try to implement Sharia Law and go around beating people who don’t comply?

By the way I am pro-abortion and an atheist. I really don’t make a good Christian apologist or bigot. You really are barking up the wrong tree.

http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/asiapcf/06/18/afghan.airstrike/index.html

I still wanna know. What does the above link have to do with Islamic maniacs (YES I'M BLAMING MUSLIMS) roasting children?

Freedom Now...and anyone else.

If you count an unexploded IED in Austion Texas, the last documented attempt was late April 2007. Your attempt to minimize the radical anti-abortion Christian movement that would even attempt to blow up a clinic is laughable.

I can't believe that I am taking sides with Uberkoen, because largely, I don't agree with him...but here I am.

And the fact that Eric Rudolph and his reign of terror ended with his capture a few years ago, doesn't erase what he did, including the bombing at Centennial Park. That it was 10 years ago is irrelevant.

Its hopeless to try to "reason" with people like you who blanketly hate every Muslim or push that "religion of peace" cr@p mantra...can't be done. And you are "highly disappointed" in him?

Awais,

I am highly disappointed that you resort to defaming Christianity in order to deflect what Islamist extremists are doing.

When was the last abortion clinic bombing? How widespread is the problem?

It doesn’t matter what beautiful words the Koran or the Bible contains. What matters is how the religion is applied.

There is a huge movement among the Muslim people that want to implement Sharia Law. Whether or not Sharia Law is condoned by the Koran is irrelevant. The fact is that there are a lot of Muslims that want to implement these barbaric laws. Furthermore, there is a large movement to bring about these laws through the use of terrorism.

We have a serious problem here. In your own country Islamic radicalism is raging out of control. Years of war against the Shiites and India have taken their toll on the psyche of your people. Violence has become a way of life. Look at the violence at the Red Mosque. That is a prominent religious institution in Islamabad and it was a vehicle for militant radicals.

I am not saying that Islam is bad. I am saying that there is too large of a portion of people who practice Islam that are full of hatred and ignorance. It is unacceptable. They are a danger to themselves, their communities and to the world.

Let me start of by saying that religiously oriented violence has by no means been confined to Islam. In the United States, abortion clinics have been bombed and their doctors shot because, to the perpetrators, the Christian Bible commands it. Several priests have admitted to molesting young boys. As mentioned before, Christians committed cannibalism during the First Crusades. I suggest you take a look at the following site. I also found a website that listed extremist Christian activities in India but we’ll let that go.

http://www.crusadewatch.org/

Now, as for issuing fatwas, have you noticed that only extremist and terrorist organization issue fatwas? Wouldn’t a ‘moderate’ muslims who issued called for thee terrorists to be killed considered ‘violent’ or a ‘terrorist’ himself?

Having said that, you can’t say that Muslims aren’t speaking up against these terrorists there are several anti-terrorism Muslim communities in the west and there’s a lot of Muslims here as well that want an end to terrorism in the name of Islam.

“Lastly, in light of these questions do you agree that Islam needs a reformation in order to live in peace with the world?”

I totally agree with that. Reformation is required. Islam needs to go back to what it was and now what organization like, Al-Qaeda have made it out to be. A simple example would be the Taliban regime in Afghanistan forcing the women to wear the viel. Apparently, they would kill women who showed any thing other than their eyes. The Burqa or Niqab is not an Islamic dress. The Prophet never asked women to cover themselves up completely. Women were never discourages from working or taking part in social and political issues. In fact, the Prophets wife was a business woman herself and the Prophet worked for her before they got married. His daughters took part in the political and social issues of the nation after the Prophets death.

Yes, these terrorists are “vile”. Yes, what they are doing is wrong and should it be stopped but what I’m trying to say is that this isn’t Islam. The organizations and terrorists have a political agenda and they’re hiding behind a religion and using it as an excuse to pursue it. Suicide is clearly forbidden in Islam and the Quran in ANY circumstance yet most of these organizations have used suicide bombers. How is that Islamic?

These terrorists aren’t only killing non-muslims but they’re killing muslims as well. They can twist the verses of the Quran in their own way and some how justify what they’re doing but how can they possibly justify killing muslims? Fact is, Quran clearly forbids the killing of innocent people muslims or non-muslims. What these people are doing is in no way Islamic. I just hope that the curtain can be lifted and their true agenda revealed. I hope people can begin to understand the real Islam, so terrorists can’t use it as an excuse to do what they do or to recruit more youngsters.

If they have no problems beheading children, nothing is beyond the realm of possibility.

Truly vile.

Awais,

You are asking the wrong questions.

First, you should ask why are there no Fatwas against Al Qaeda (or so few if there are any).

Second, why is it that in the developing world and in third world countries that have substantial Muslim populations in which they do not form a majority, there are Muslims fighting wars against the majority religion? India, Thailand and the Philippines come to mind. In these examples the majority are from different religions; Hindu, Buddhist and Christian.

Lastly, in light of these questions do you agree that Islam needs a reformation in order to live in peace with the world?

Al-Qaeda = Sunni Muslim = Islam

I see nobody else to blame here.

Just about every terrorist act committed today (I'm sure there are rare exceptions) are committed by Muslims.

For me it is simple. Islam is the enemy.

Thomas Hamilton can you please explain to me how Islam can be blamed for this? Where in Islam is cannibalism allowed? Where does Islam encourage this sort of act?

"I find this very hard to believe but if it did happen I don't think Islam or the muslims should be blamed for this."

GASP! I guess no matter what happens, there will be those who refuse to believe the truth even when it is as plain as the nose on your face.

I find this very hard to believe but if it did happen I don't think Islam or the muslims should be blamed for this. In fact, if this did happen this only goes to prove how far from the real Islam Al-Qaeda is.

If you are going to blame the religion and its followers for this act let me remind you that cannibalism was practiced by the Christians during the first Crusades. Due to lack of food some of the crusaders fed on the bodies of their dead opponents after the capture of the Arab town of Ma'arrat al-Numan. So its about as easy for Muslims to blame Christianity for the acts of those people as it is for Christians and other non-muslims to blame the acts of Al-Qaeda on Islam

CNN, NewsWeek, New York LIES, the whole MSM... liberal media NEVER will notice that horror... and why may they would do?

They are useful only to show Iraqi prisoners naked using painties on their heads... this is the real horror for them. THIS is the most terrible violation on the Human Rights.

But a Christian little roasting child... pff... who cares for that in Liberal Media???

Debbie:
I would believe it because they are turning children into suicide bombers, so what's a little roasting child to them? As for corroboration, I expect NBC or CNN to jump on the story any minute :-)NOT

Ummmm, what does that CNN link have to do with Islamic bastards roasting children? I don't get the connection?

P.S. Stormwarning, as to the CNN link you just left about the children that were accidentally killed by an airstrike, here's the story:

"Several militants were also killed and two were detained, according to the military.

A U.S. military spokesman said there was no sign of children around the targeted building before the airstrike was ordered."

There was no sigh of children. But if the terrorists insist on having their women and children hidden in their dens, then that's sad casualty of war. Period.

Stormwarning: This was reported by Michael Yon. If you don't know him, he is the ONLY independent reporter/blogger in Iraq. He pays his own expenses, with the help of donations at his website, Michael Yon Online. He made this report himself, and I have the link listed at the end of the article. If you want accurate, non-biased reporting of what's happening on the ground, read his articles.

Thanks for the comments everybody. As you have pointed out this sacrificing of children to heathen gods goes back to Bible times, it's not new. But it is the nature of this enemy we face. They will do anything.

This reminds me of the accusations that Chinese troops forced Tibetan children to execute their parents...

http://www.tibet.ca/en/wtnarchive/1993/6/2_3.html

Yet not many people really cared whether or not China actually committed those crimes.

The only time people care about human rights abuses is when they can one way or another be pinned on the U.S.

I would like to know for sure if Al Qaeda committed these crimes, but we will probably never know because the media wouldnt care unless they could prove that the stuffing was supplied by the U.S.

Sad but true...

To be clear to all who seem to read partial thoughts and sentences:

I didn't say that I didn't believe it, nor did I say that aQ isn't capable of such an atrocity. But I did write that at this point, I had a hard time believing it (there is still no corroboration). Nothing on Defenselink, nothing on CT Blog for example...at least not yet.

Aurora, I am far from naive. Spend a bit more than a second or two at my place.

Actually, on second thought...

I am not sure why anyone would not believe Al-Qaeda both able and willing to commit such acts.

Mushy, I agree with you. Why we keep farting around in Iraq is beyond me. We simply need to level the place, along with Iran and Syria and maybe a few more Muslim occupied strongholds and get the hell out.

They would do the same to us if given a chance.

Maybe Phil Fulmer has been taking lessons from George Bush and our wimpy congress.

After the story of Samir Kuntar (http://olehmichael.blogspot.com/2007/07/full-of-sound-and-fury.html), there is nothing which I would put past a muslim terrorist.

I don't have trouble believing it, I have trouble thinking about it.

Why we show mercy in our efforts to fight a war is beyond me. America is like Tennessee football, no killer instinct!

Why would you have any trouble believing it? It's also been done to Assyrian Christians in Iraq (I read a story on this a few months back).
Surely you don't believe that our enemy isn't cruel enough? If you look at the original story, another officer talks about what he's seen with his own eyes there as well. To think that Al Qa'eda (who have proven themselves to be the most thuggish in a thug's world over there) are too civilized to do anything like this is pure naivete.

There are no words Debbie...........sigh

"But at the moment, I find this hard to believe."

I too, do not believe this story. No self-respecting Muslim would serve a child without some Hummus with oil and lemon juice. Into what would the guests be dipping their pita bread? What, are they savages to serve food that way?

"But at the moment, I find this hard to believe."

Hmmmmm, for some reason I don't have any trouble at all believing this.

It is the nature of the enemy we face.

But that's just me....

Is there any corroboration of this story (or is it a story reporting on a rumor based on a translation of a story)? Agreed that al Qaeda is vile and vicious. Agreed that an inability to prove or disprove that something has happened doesn't mean that it hasn't.

But at the moment, I find this hard to believe.

I, too, just posted on this. I related the story to the pagan practices of the ancient Canaanites.

This shows the evil of which the enemy is capable. And the evil actually predates Islam.
