Green flies buzzing around Madrassa school in Brooklyn

A big, hot, steaming pile of crap attracts a lot of green flies. Believe me, the flies were having mid-air crashes tonight as they buzzed around the comments being dished out by Hussein Ibish while talking about the Arabic Madrassa paid for by your tax dollars and set to open in September.
I haven't written much about the Khalil Gibran International Academy, better known as the Arabic School, or Madrassa. Sean Hannity had a representative from Stop the Madrassa on his show. A lovely lady, who simply wanted the school board to honor not one, but two requests for information filed under the Freedom of Information Act by the group. All anyone wants to know is, WHAT will this school be teaching, since they have a Board of Religion.
No other public school funded by tax payer dollars has a Board of Religion, to my knowledge. If no religion will be taught at this "Arabic" school, why the need for the Board of Religion? A legitimate question.

Hannity's other guest was Hussein Ibish, of the Foundation for Arabic-American Leadership. He's always arrogant and abrasive, but tonight he took a cue from members of CAIR. He was smooooooth, like a new born baby's butt. No, like a slick and slimy used car dealer.
What he wanted you to hear was stated loudly and slowly. What he did NOT want you to hear, was stated softly and quickly. Example: (not verbatim) Mr. Ibish said that most Arabs in the United States were either Christian, or Jewish, or Muslim. The word Muslim was spoken so quietly, I almost missed it. That's just one example.
Mr. Ibish also said that the school was "good for national security." He said that very loudly. I wonder what he said that I missed? He stressed the importance of teaching Arabic, that we need translators in Iraq, and places like the FBI, CIA, etc. Oh , yeah, we need translators. What we DON'T need are Madrassa-trained Muslims in those agencies.
If this is all about teaching more people the Arabic languages, we can certainly do that in schools that already exist. We offer French, Spanish, so why not offer Arabic? It can be done very simply, without the "religious" aspect added in, which will most definitely be taught in Brooklyn's new Madrassa.
Khalil Gibran International Academy, serving grades six through 12, is advertised to provide a "multicultural curriculum and intensive Arabic language instruction." That sounds so bland. Daniel Pipes sees through all the window-dressing, saying:
As someone who spent years learning Arabic, I am enthusiastic in principle about the idea of this school, one of the first of its kind in America. In practice, however, I strongly oppose the KGIA and predict that its establishment will generate serious problems. I say this because Arabic-language instruction is inevitably laden with pan-Arabist and Islamist baggage. (read his reasons here)
The New York Sun has an entire page of articles here on the Arabic school, I suggest you check out a few.
Gibran Khalil Gibran -- Poet and Philosopher.
"Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country." Many of us know this as a quotation from a speech made by U.S. President John F. Kennedy in 1961. It is less well known that this quote appeared earlier in Gibran Khalil Gibran's most popular book, "The Prophet," published in 1923.Almost 70 years after his death, Gibran is still held in high regard as the most important writer to mark the transition from classic to modern Arabic literature. [snip]
The Maronite sect, formed during the schism in the Byzantine church in the 5th century A.D., was made up of a group of Syrian Christians, who joined the monk St. Marun to lead their own sectarian thought. (more)
Take note of Daniel Pipes words: " ... the Arabic Language Institute Foundation, claims knowledge of Islam's holy language can help the West recover from what its leader, Akhtar Emon, calls its "moral decay." In other words, Muslims tend to see non-Muslims learning Arabic as a step toward an eventual conversion to Islam, ... "

A lot of Americans have a positive feeling about Khalil Gibran. I remember when quotations from his poetry were often used in wedding ceremonies here in American churches in the 1970s.
From that link about Khalil Gibran:
"The book dealt with social issues in Lebanon, portraying a married woman’s emancipation from her husband, a heretic’s call for freedom, a bride’s escape from an unwanted marriage through death and the brutal injustices of 19th century Lebanese feudal lords. These writings received strong criticism from the clergy for their bold ideas, their negative portrayal of clergymen and their encouragement of women’s liberation. Gibran was to later recall to Mary the dark period in which Spirits Rebellious was written, during a time when he was haunted by death, illness and loss of love. The anti-clerical content of the book threatened Gibran with excommunication from the church, with the book being censored by the Syrian government."
According to the link, his writings were anti-religious.
So, this madrassa in Brooklyn is taking advantage of Khalil Gibran's name.
About the John Does, not good news, if Mr. Spencer is correct:

Your picture, my dear, was one of a house fly. The really big stinky turds, like described in your article, usually attract the green bottle fly.
I emailed you a picture.
