Great Secure Our Borders Crusade of 2008!

Have you heard about the Great Secure Our Borders Crusade of 2008!? Spirit of America has all the details. Let me say I don't like the word crusade, but I am fully behind this effort to stop illegal aliens here in the USA.

We will kick off the great national crusade for secure borders on July 4th 2008 in San Diego, California, with a rally to demand all our immigration laws be enforced. The crusade will roll out of San Diego and follow the US/Mexico border to Brownsville, Texas, where it will turn north, ending on the steps of the US Capitol in Washington, D.C., on Veterans Day, November 11th 2008.

During those four months the crusade will carry American flags, State flags, and the POW/MIA flag across America in a great national relay. [snip]

* Along the way we will circulate a petition to Congress demanding secure borders and we will deliver the final petitions to Members of Congress on the steps of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.
* We will show our respect for our Border Patrol agents, law enforcement officers, Armed Forces, and veterans who have made America free and kept her safe.
* We will carry the American flag from coast to coast and ask that it be flown over the Capitol.
* We will register voters.
* We will support the families of American troops deployed overseas in the Global War on Terror.
* We will support the families of U.S. Border Patrol Agents wrongly incarcerated for protecting America from drug smugglers.
* We will contribute to the legal defense of United States Marines wrongly accused of crimes in Iraq.
