You know, just getting back from New York, I think we have the most to fear from soft target attacks on subways, buses, or just a suicide bombing in a tight downtown shopping district. It'll come sometime, unfortunately.
As for the big stuff, like ports, industrial facilities, oil refineries, nuclear plants - after awhile it becomes too costly to mount additional security measures than those already in place.
More impediments to rapid commerce could slow the economy and harm our way of life. We'll have to live with some risk.
Having said that, I'd rather have a Republican in the White House, so let's hope that Iraq continues to improve, and the Dems self-destruct from within!
