Terror Target New York, or Seattle???
The reports yesterday that Al-Qaeda and Taliban terrorists are vacating their camps in North Waziristan and South Waziristan on the border with Afghanistan, coincided with the dirty bomb threat in New York. Reader Ron reminded me that "Islamist terrorists can't help but notice that Hillary and Rudy -- two New Yorkers -- are the leading candidates thus far for president." Excellent point:
They attacked London and Glasgow within a week of Brown taking office. Perhaps they're thinking that they can attack the home of the two front-runners for the highest office in America? ("Hey, they can't even protect their home. How are they going to protect you America?) It fits their past M.O. ...
Warchick, Resa LaRu Kirkland (Columnist/Writer/Speaker/Military Historian/The Anti-Feminist!) is concerned about Seattle. In an email this morning she writes (hat tip Michael):
The terrorists are going to try things we aren't expecting, but that are normal and people see everyday. They aren't going to use planes--that's already been done. They won't use Ryder trucks...we're already wary of Muslim men renting Ryders. They are going to need something big enough to deliver an enormous payload of explosive material without raising suspicions. I believe that they are going to use semis. No one would be suspicious seeing a semi driving into the center of a town, and with their massive trailer size, the devastation from traditional explosives would be at least 10 times what we saw in Oklahoma City. Add to that the fact that they will most likely use radioactive material along with the traditional explosives and we have deaths in the millions. They will choose Jew-heavy cities, and we might see a sudden exodus of many Muslims going on vacation, visiting friends, or flat out moving to another town. But given the muslim tendency to eat their own, we may not see them even bother to warn their own peopleMy other foreboding comes with our ports, but not the way you think. Given the muslim's love for Canada and their more liberal terror of being accused of racism, I believe that they will try to destroy the Seattle port--one of the largest, most essential in America--by loading the ferries that travel back and forth between Vancouver and Puget Sound with cars that have hidden explosives. Imagine the devastation of our ports if several of them went at once. Add to that the fact that near every port are major trucking companies and you have a port blow-up putting our law enforcement resources along the coast line of America while the second wave drives semis into American heartland. It is perfect--everyone will be watching the coastlines and ships...they won't be watching for semis. Also, they may use Mexicans, Blacks, or Whites who have joined them to do this, as the American people who have not been Politically Castrated are going to carefully watch Muslims, whether they're on airplanes or ferries. But the PC law enforcement are too afraid of words---racist, sexist, islamaphobe--to do much even when they're not distracted.
[snip] Something is going on in Seattle, beyond the Islamberg city I told you about. There is a restlessness there, an anxiety that I cannot do justice to with mere words. Something is about to go down up here, and likely all along the coast line. Please spread the word far and wide. If I'm wrong, I'll gladly play BUFFOON OF THE WEEK. I like that scenario better than the one that has been nagging at my mind for over a year now. Pray that I'm an idiot who's being paranoid...that's what I'm hoping.
We children of Reagan were raised by the right man at the right time--we are fighters. Spread the word; time to choose sides, take up arms, and wipe Islam off the earth.
Ms. Kirkland is someone whose writings I respect very much. We all have 'feelings', instincts, whatever you want to call them. Perhaps nothing is going on in Seattle, but we 'children of Reagan' should always be on watch, on guard, we ARE the last line of defense. If you see anything suspicious, that raises the hairs on the back of your neck, report it to authorities, the higher up on the law enforcement food chain the better.
One last point, "information regarding the location of 29 Taliban bases, identified by U.S. intelligence, was shared with Pakistan. Many of Musharraf's top commanders are sympathetic to the Taliban. Any connection?
On-the-ground intelligence from both sides of the national border indicate all camps but one, operated by a hard-line Islamist mullah, have been dismantled and all Taliban commanders, as well as leaders of Arab insurgent groups in the country, have disappeared. (WND)
I have to ask the obvious question. If we KNEW where these 29 camps were, why were they not all taken out? Why did we not send missiles, bunker busters, whatever ... and remove these terror camps? Oh, wait, I sound like Barack Obama. Then the question must be, why didn't PAKISTAN, take these terror camps out? Just asking what everyone wants to know.

I have no answer to your last question except: politics which apparently trump national security.
As far as who is threatened, New York or Seattle, why not both and more? 9/11 was not just one location, it was an intended 3 separate locations(counting both towers of the WTC as one). Yes, those locations were geographically close but that doesn't mean the next time will be.
If they can plan attacks such as that to be successful, what's stopping them hitting both Seattle and New York in separate attacks, considering the goal of such attacks is destruction of our infrastructure? What's stopping them from not only carrying out attacks in those two locations and adding any number of others to it?

Thanks everybody for the comments and input. I hope we are all wrong about a future attack on US soil, no matter what city it's in. But we must all stay alert. I worry that the Left has made it look like these are just scare tactics to get votes for Republicans. This has nothing to do with politics as far as I'm concerned. This has to do with AMERICANS.
Again, thanks everybody.

I hope you are wrong Deb. I pray you are.
But, I'm in the Seattle area a lot. I stop by the train station area most of the time. Safeco field and Qwest field are next door.
Most of the taxi drivers in the area are from the middle eastern countries. Most are muslim and use their prayer rugs behind the station area, in between trains and buses.
Could be very scary. Not too much attention paid to these folks.
Seattle is a town of wonderful folks. Many of them totally stupid to the fact that they are targets, as Americans. They constantly go around thinking they can fix things by talking and subventing the laws concerning immigration.
I hope we keep a vigilant eye on this area. I pray we do........

Go ahead and re-ask the Obama question and wonder really really hard why it wasn't done. And when you're finished doing that, wonder why. Everyone criticized Obama for saying the obvious. But the obvious is that those camps weren't taken out.
The point, ladies and gentlemen, is that the time for partisanship is past. The question for the future will be who will have the "spirit" to take them out.

Wow, Debbie. Great post. I'm going to check out Ms. Kirkland's writing.
I'm not surprised there is unrest in Seattle. Remember the Muslim man who charged into the Jewish Center there with a run and killed some people?

In response to Ms. Kirkland's intelligent and alarming article, I wonder how therapists define 'paranoid' these days? If it still means the feeling of being under constant threat from unseen enemies, then I'm definitely paranoid. And the more I study the issues the more paranoid I become.
As an example: I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed that our airlines or airports have been hit with a recent wave of "computer glitches", which have caused some massive delays and discomfort.
I seem to remember that they have threatened to attack us before by hacking into our major computer systems. Perhaps these are just tests.
One of the obvious results of paranoia is the feeling of being vulnerable.
I only wish that more Americans shared these feelings, and were willing to act on them.

"I have to ask the obvious question. If we KNEW where these 29 camps were, why were they not all taken out? Why did we not send missiles, bunker busters, whatever"
I was wondering that myself.
Even if we didn't bomb the camps while they were under way, why, at least, didn't we start killing some of them when we saw they were emptying??

This is terrible. I am so worried something will happen, though I pray not. I also read about a week ago - according to WaPo the D.C. area is also at great risk.

"...I have to ask the obvious question. If we KNEW where these 29 camps were, why were they not all taken out? Why did we not send missiles, bunker busters, whatever ... and remove these terror camps?..."
Back in the 90s we targeted UBL in Afghan. Before sending the cruise missiles we warned Pakistan. Bin Laden got away, or so the story goes.
It's possible we were developing plans to take out these camps in a massive air strike. Perhaps someone tipped them. Perhaps it was Obama's stupid remarks. Hard to say. All I will say is hopefully they scattered to the caves, not the Mexican border.
