Thomas F Anderson

Yet another example of how diligent police work can root out terrorists.

Thomas F. Anderson: Correct. They deserve a lot of credit here. More information is coming out and this could be bigger than originally thought.

It's great that they nailed these guys before they blew something (or someone) up, but it raises another question: remember the VWP (visa waiver program)? It's a program that relaxes the background checks of people entering the U.S. from nations 'friendly' to us. Congress recently voted to expand this program. I realize these Danish guys didn't come to the U.S., but how hard would it be for other Al Qaeda members with Danish citizenship (or any other country 'friendly' to the U.S.) to come here with minimal scrutiny through the VWP? Not hard enough!

2cents: Good point, did you read the article about the Canadian terrorists? They are just a skip and a hop across the Northern border.

Both the Denmark and the Canadian groups had foreign and al-Qaeda connections.
