I'm a big believer in personal responsibility. When it comes to protecting yourself, your family, who can you depend on? Who is the real first responder when the bad guy shows up at YOUR door? It's YOU. " It's a whole new world of personal survival." As our country moves forward after September 11, 2001, and as we make concessions by continuing to have open borders, special privileges for Muslims above all others, it becomes even more important for each of us to know how to protect ourselves.

I know that some of you will cry fowl at the idea of Independent Counterterrorist Training. I say to you, better safe than sorry -- better prepared for the wolf at the door than to be a lamb for the slaughter. Survival is a black and white issue

There are those out there who wish to destroy us. They do not care about our beliefs, our communities, or our children. Their goal is simply to murder us en masse through cowardly and despicable methods. Their supporters are legion and infest the public, the global media, and the United Nations like insects in desperate need of extermination.

Still, there are many others who don t hide shamefully behind the body armor of innocent women and children. Who stand proud in defense of democracy and freedom. Who hold that all people are created equal in the
eyes of God. It is we who shall win; who shall prevail over the radical Islamists who seek to pervert international justice and destroy the peace and tranquility of the world s honorable peoples.

Your study guide will be the
Manuel of the Independent Counterterrorist (pdf) Each month a new "unit" of the study will be provided to anyone who is interested. All you have to do is click the link and go read the material. There will be questions and suggestions for further reading at the end. Also links to writings of the terrorists themselves will be provided, as well as any other links that may prove helpful to readers.

In the introduction to Milestones, by Syed Qutb Shaheed, he says "Even the Western world realizes that Western Civilization is unable to present any healthy values for the guidance of mankind." This is what the bad guys think, but they are so wrong. Americans are guided by their belief in God who values of every human being; freedom of speech, thought, and deed as long as it doesn't harm another. We respect women and children. We support freedom of religion, but do not force religion on anyone. We want peace around the world among all people.

BUT --- if threatened, we will defend ourselves. This Independent Counterrorist Training will help us be prepared to do just that here at home.

To facilitate the incorporation of the civilian population into the war effort against international terrorists, the International Nuclear Emergency Response Team (INERT), R.J. Godlewski, Right Truth Blog, and affiliated parties are developing a volunteer training program to educate interested individuals in the fields of counterinsurgency, counterintelligence, counterterrorism, and counter-guerrilla warfare operations.

Each monthly module will consist of a brief narrative by R.J. Godlewski, appropriate federal military/civilian training manual/reports to review, and review questions to stimulate debate. There are no fees associated with these programs and no grades/certificates will be issued. This is strictly a volunteer program for educational purposes. (continue reading)

"... The training program is tailored towards those who live within the city. Terrorists know to hide from the boondocks so being a 'survivalist' within the city is of paramount importance. Another thing, 'gun training' is going to be a very small part of the overall program."

Ortho: In response to your comments and concerns, the author says:

"The reason that I excluded 'cyberterrorism' and 'nuclear terrorism' (which are to be discussed in greater detail later on) as 'models' is that I feel that mere tools do not change the mindset of your typical terrorist. Whether with a flintlock or an AR-type with a thirty round clip, I am still me irrespective of how much more damage I could do with the latter. The same is true with armies: today's version is infinitely more deadly than ancient Spartans (or generalized Greek hoplites) but the difference in 'attitude' towards their trade is quite different. So I simply decided to abandon the tools and concentrate on the minds.

Also, with a whole month in which to write the next module, I should be less "heavy-handed" in the narrative. ;o) The introduction to the actual book is probably more palatable."

I found the introduction's heavy-handed rhetoric rather tedious to read. I also thought it was strange that the author characterized the threats of cyberterrorism, nuclear terrorism, and terrorist organizations that follow a decentralized Hezbollah structure as "non-models". It seems that these three "models" are more destructive and relevant than the first two models: "Socialist/Anarchist" and "Argentine". I'm interesting in reading what other readers thought.

I did enjoyed reading the two primary texts: Marighella's "Minimanual of the Urban Guerrilla" and Guevara's "Guerilla Warfare". Both texts help us understand the tactics and strategies of fourth-generation warfare.

I cannot wait for the second installment of the series. I hope all readers of Right Truth download, read, and study this month's module.

Yes, since most of us live in cities the usual survivalist tactics won't work. And what happens when the local police arrest you for killing a jihadist bent upon holocaust to protect yourself and your property? Will local governments have the brains and gonads to suspend ordinary police actions under extraordinary conditions?
