Israel's wary of new peace talks, who can blame them. What has peace talks gotten them in recent years?
Israeli opposition leaders are stepping up their criticism in the face of the first real negotiations with the Palestinians in nearly seven years and government steps to prepare the public for “difficult decisions” ahead.Opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu has assailed the ruling coalition — particularly Prime Minister Ehud Olmert”s conservative partners — for proposing to hand back most of the West Bank to the Palestinians. He predicts that the territory will eventually fall under the control of Islamic extremists from Hamas. (more at The Washington Times)
Did you know that "Israel delayed its attack on alleged Syrian nuclear facilities at the request of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and other members of the Bush Administration." One must ask, what are we doing here?
Heaven forbid we portray Muslims as terrorists in the media:
The Greater Los Angeles Area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-LA) and FOX Television recently co-hosted a "Hollywood 101" workshop and studio tour to introduce aspiring Muslim writers, directors and actors to the entertainment industry. The event, held at FOX Studios in Century City, was also designed to help promote a positive change in Hollywood's portrayal of Muslims and Arabs. (read it all)
Again, what are we thinking? Listening to CAIR? They are terrorists. What about our Navy? Is it now a Lost Navy as Frank J. Gaffney, Jr. says:
Irony of ironies: The principal champion of the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) is the United States Navy. Yet predictably few organizations would suffer more than America’s naval forces from a supranational government of the oceans empowered by U.S. accession to that treaty. The absurdity of this situation was on display last week as the Navy’s former senior officer, retired Chief of Naval Operations Vernon Clark, testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Adm. Clark waxed on about LOST as “a Magna Carta for the oceans that guarantees navigation freedoms throughout the world’s largest maneuver space.” The committee’s ranking Republican, Sen. Richard Lugar of Indiana, declared in about as many words that, if the Navy wants the treaty, the Senate should give it to them. Period.
Fortunately, a necessary corrective was offered the next day by another distinguished retired four-star, Adm. James “Ace” Lyons. (read it all here)
The Ohio State Capitol in Columbus will be the setting for a curious convocation later this month when it hosts an event featuring several well-known Islamic extremists as part of an "interfaith" conference entitled, "The Many Faces of Islam". The conference, which is to be held in the atrium of the Statehouse on Sunday, October 28th, will feature two well-known speakers with multiple connections to the HAMAS international terrorist organization, a host of convicted terrorist leaders, and colleagues who fled the US to avoid prosecution on terrorism-related charges. The event is sponsored by the Interfaith Association of Central Ohio. (read it all at AINA)
We need more talk in the United States and maybe Israel, like we have heard from Australia:
if Muslims don't want to fit into Australia, they are welcome to leave. (from There's My Two Cents and ABC)
There's free speech for the bad guys, but not for the good guys.
Is there a "US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation : Member Organizations ..."?
Is there any truth to the following statements?
US proposes common missile defense network with Russia, NATO
United States and Israel will seek to divide Jerusalem and relinquish Israeli sovereignty from Judaism's holiest site - The Temple Mount - while at the same time bringing Israel back to what Abba Eban called it's "Auschwitz Borders".

I can't believe i finally found someone else in the blogosphere who actually comments or even knows about LOST!! Isn't it crazy that the MSM doesn't even talk about it?
Also, when are republicans going to realize that James Baker is NOT a conservative and in my opinion he's a bad guy!
The only person out there who i've seen who even writes anything about this is Schlafly! Our government is selling us out....from BOTH sides of the aisle!
Also, you're dead right about Israel! Lets hope BeBe can talk some sense into these people because right now i'm very afraid.

Rhino_itall: Thanks for the comments. I've posted on LOST previously, not sure how many people know anything about it. It is certainly NOT good for the United States.
For those who do not know, LOST is the Law Of the Sea Treaty:
http://www.rejectlost.org/
The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea - commonly known at the Law of the Sea Treaty, or LOST - is the darling project of the transnational progressives, or "transies."
Their goal is nothing less than the establishment of world government at the expense of traditional sovereignty.
Unfortunately, the Bush Administration has decided to push for immediate ratification of this fatally-flawed accord. This is a monumental and dangerous policy shift.
This website is designed to be a source of information to those who seek to understand the problems posed by LOST, and who seek to help ensure that the Senate defeats it once again.

Olmert is making me absolutely crazy. He is bad news.

Jack: You are right. He is so weak and has sent Israel down the wrong path.

Thanks for the link!
It's unbelievable what the U.S. is supporting in regard to Israel. I would think Israelis have to question how much of an ally we are at times (i.e. championing CAIR and Hamas, and voluntarily giving up our own power on the seas)!
Not to harp and chant, but once again it's not that much of a stretch to see how Israel could be abandoned by everyone else in the world in the run-up to a major, major conflict against them. If the U.S. is their biggest ally, well...look what we're proposing to do to them! More than a little scary.

Nobel Peace Prize: NEW Global Warming Antiperspirant
AP – Al Gore has for a long time been full of hot air. He has a vivid imagination about the world around him. His strong commitment, reflected in political activity, lectures, films and books, has strengthened the struggle against climate change. Al’s basic mistrust of the seasons may stem from an episode of the Twilight Zone, in which the Earth gets too close to the Sun. Summers are hot & sticky, and Gore is probably the single individual who has done most to create greater worldwide understanding of the measures needed to create a more effective global deodorant.
If former college roommate, Tommy Lee Jones, could save the City of Los Angeles from an errant volcano, and the world entire from a giant cockroach (Men In Black), then certainly Big Al deserves a prize for his Global Antiperspirant Initiative to control perspiration, and prevent the meltdown of Earth. The same great ingredients and trusted formula that kept our leaders dry during the Cold War – now in roll-on or stick. As the planet heats up, you don’t have to!
