Shouldn't the voters have a say?

1juanhernandez
In case you are thinking about voting for John McCain, think again. Remember Dr. Juan Hernandez, who was a regular on news shows pushing for Amnesty, open borders and equal rights for Mexicans inside the United States??? He's John McCain's Hispanic outreach director. He said, “We must not only have a free flow of goods and services, but also start working for a free flow of people.”

Thanks to Michelle Malkin:

Hernandez was a close adviser to Vicente “Welcome to North America” Fox and headed up a Mexican bureaucracy called the “Presidential Office for Mexicans Abroad.” It was designed to allow Hernandez to travel across the country, meddling with local, state, and federal immigration enforcement on behalf of millions of illegal aliens in America. He lobbied for illegal alien driver’s licenses and Mexico first, defended Mexican bus operators carrying illegal aliens to the USA, and promoted extending banking privileges to illegal aliens. (more)

Is that really the kind of president we want? President Bush was a disaster when it came to our borders.

President George W.Bush has spent much of his time in office talking about freedom and democracy in the Middle East. His "appreciation for the rights of the individual in the Middle East would expand liberty, undermine extremism, and enhance the security of Americans, Arabs, and others." (World Politics Review) During this election period I want to concentrate on the security of Americans and rights of individuals HERE in the United States.

One example is Abortion, which is legal, yet not one American has had the opportunity to cast their vote and express their views on the subject. Another example is illegal immigration. We are being asked to ignore our laws and allow MILLIONS of illegal aliens to stay in the United States, irregardless of the fact that they have broken our laws to get here. We are supposed to be silent while our borders are open and terrorists or anyone can get into our country. I could go on and on, but why?

... the consequences of illegal immigration, our unsecured borders and the breakdown of the rule of law in our Republic -- illegal immigration and homeland security are the most critical issues in America today. -- The Dustin Inman Society

I believe this and I believe that Americans should have not only 'a' say in how our country is run, but we should have 'THE' say.

» Sorta Blogless Sunday Pinup from Pirate's Cove
Happy Sunday! It is another gorgeous day in America. The Sun is shining, the geese are honking, and the coyote is.. what is it called when coyotes call out? This pinup is by Harry Ekman, with a wee bit of help. It reminds me of what Obama is doing to ... [Read More]

THEY GIVE JOHN MCCAIN A BIG FAT "D" for his Senate votes on immigration reform.
You can see how McCain voted on every immigration bill and it is not pretty.
This guy is saying what he thinks we want to hear and it is not the first time he has changed his position. He played the maverick to George Bush's agenda until he decided he could do better to back him on Bush's AMNESTY agenda.

I have heard John McCain speak on the necessity of reducing spending.
We are trillions of dollars in debt to China to finance a war John McCain supports ---- I have not heard him speak in depth on how he can possibly reduce spending and prosecute the costliest war in history.

I haven't heard McCain address the issue of our wounded soldiers returning to horrible conditions and treatment. But then he is for continuing an unwinnable war which has been going on for 1000+ years.
THOSE WHO DON'T LEARN FROM THE PAST ARE CONDEMNED TO REPEAT IT.

It would be nice if folks like this fool could be promoting all this over in Mexico. I wonder if folks like him ever stopped to think that if they allow free flow, you might get some other unwanteds free flowing in as well and in the long run bringing America down to the level of Mexico.

Then where will all the illegals that he yearns for so much, go to.

Hi Debbie! I hope all is okay at your homestead? I note no new posts since yesterday. I pray the hubby is well. Let us know!

Between Romney and McCain we can say babye to the White House.

I know the media are pushing hard for a Clinton vs McCain contest, in the belief (theirs) that Clinton can handily beat McCain. I agree that there is no true conservative for the Republicans, and I wait to see who will emerge from the chaff.

As for Clinton, having Bill out there slandering on her behalf is probably good...for her opponent(s).

sigh...no real conservatives to look up to!

I just can't vote for McCain unless he has a very very good explanation for hiring this guy. And probably not even then.

Yep, Rudy is becoming a shaky
alternative due only to attrition. Pretty sad, really.

The theory behind not letting people vote on a lot of these issues is that they supposedly (or actually) concern rights which inhere in persons. We wouldn't want to put freedom of speech up for a vote. The idea that the ability to violate another's intrinsic rights could ever itself be an intrinsic right needs to be challanged.

I could vote for Rudy Tootie. I am afraid his primary strategy has been his undoing.

Grouch is doing fine. The band is playing tonight, so he's happy.

I could vote for Rudy, but I'm not sure he's going to be in it for the long haul.

Debbie, thanks for the comment and trackback. Reading this, I felt obliged to add a trackback from my blog to it. That's bad news about McCain. I didn't want him as president before and I REALLY don't now.

How's the Grouch doing? I have another Mitt poem:

Mitt, Mitt,
Gives me a fit,
I think he's a twit,
The shoe fits
and I wish he would split.

At this point I think even Giuliani would be better. I originally had predicted that it would be Giuliani against Clinton, if you recall. It can still go any direction, time will tell.
