A prominent fundraiser for the campaign of Hillary Clinton, who has been accused of serving as an agent of the Islamic government of Iran, and Zbigniew Brzezinski, who is likely to become Secretary of State in the administration of Barack Hussein Obama, were in Syria last week to meet with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad as part of a Rand Corporation delegation. (Israel Matzav)
This little visit took place one day after arch-terrorist Imad Mugniyeh was assassinated in Damascus. The candidates apparently want these high level meetings with the fascist, terrorist enabling Assad regime to be kept quiet, out of the media, and now they both refuse to talk in public about the visits.
So here we have an interesting question. The two top Democrats both have top level campaign advisers meeting with the dictator of a regime that actively sponsors terrorism against the US and a US ally, Israel at the same time. Why?Are they conducting some kind of secret negotiations on their own with the regime? Remember Nancy Pelosi's little jaunt to Syria and her statement " We (Democrats) have our own foreign policy"?
Or are they bidding? Do they have some kind of competing offers on the table? (Joshua Pundit)
This is important news for many reasons. Both candidates have said they would 'talk' with our enemies, I guess this is proof they mean what they say. But who are these two 'advisers' and is this good news for America? My answer is a big, fat NO, this is not good. Gateway Pundit says, "Well, at least the Clinton and Obama camps can agree on one thing-- to meet with dictators."
Damascus has also been the transit point for thousands of jihadis going to Iraq to commit suicide-murders against Americans and Iraqis. If you want to talk to Al Qaida and the gang, Damascus is your place. Syria's President Assad is also Iran's best buddy in the Arab world. (Iran is the State Department's biggest terror-sponsoring state.) So Assad is the go-to guy for all the terror sponsors. (Infidel Blogger's Alliance)

Tom Bowler at Libertarian Leanings asks, "What does this say about either candidate's support for democracy in Lebanon?" Good question and I would love to hear the answer. Jim Rose says, "This can only mean that democracy in Lebanon is in peril. With either Hillary or Obama in the White House, appeasement will be job one and Lebanon could pay the price."
From the Contentious Centrist "OBAMA WATCH":
Mr. Brzezinski's visit to Syria ... is in many ways in keeping with a theme of the Obama campaign.... the former Carter administration official addressed Democratic lawmakers last month at a retreat at Williamsburg, Va., on America's policy toward Iran. "I remember thinking, 'Why are we listening to him?' He was the national security adviser for Jimmy Carter 30 years ago. He proceeded to talk to us about Iran, and I said, 'Let me see, didn't the ayatollahs come to power, didn't we have this problem when you were in the White House?'"

Obama now faces the terror test, so does Clinton and McCain:
No test in politics is sterner than the 9/11 test, which Obama now faces as frontrunner in the Democratic race. If he has a coherent plan to better manage the terror file, he may want to roll it out soon. [snip]All that said, Obama's good luck is that Hillary Clinton and John McCain haven't yet put strikingly better ideas in the window.
Going forward, Obama will want to reassure skeptics that his presidency will not only electrify Washington, but also apply better policy to an ugly problem. On the terror file, it will take more than a prayer and a hope...
Reformed Chicks Babbling reports, "Obama to run as an Independent if Clinton steals the nomination?" Wow, didn't see that one coming.

Another question I have about Obama and Clinton: How will they respond to terrorists who want to kill people and destroy Embassies because they draw a cartoon.
And then there's McCain, image via hubby:

Debbie as always thank you for the gracious mention.
Remember what happened to Biden when he pulled something similiar in the '80's - Obama is going down just like that Dubai Ports Deal - no way would the American public support this crap in the wake of 9/11.
Oh G-d ad least I hope not....so many apologists. And think how the Iranians and the Arabs would use us for mince meat. I shudder to think of it.

First, what are these two from two different camps doing traveling around together? Obviously the whole pantomime of a struggle between Obama and Clinton is a huge stage show at our expense with the mainstream media in the orchestra pit.
More importantly, if this means anything,it looks like under either of these two candidates, the U.S. is going as dhimmi as Europe.

The more they act out the clearer the choices become. And America may be divided on a lot of things, but we're not stupid.

This is interesting. Especially coming after last weeks supervillan vaporization verve. Little Satan usually claims a hit. Not this one - they still say it wasn't them. If that is correct - sending dems to Damascas could be a way of sticking it in their face about Hiz'B'Allah. I mean imagine - Their premier charter memnber 'brother commander' gets cashed out and dems show up to suck up?
They may very well be using the good cop thing against them crazy, regime changing GOPer's. Like in Animal Farm - "Surely comrades!! You don't want Jones to come back!"
Or it could be a give up HBA, get out of Syria and straighten out your act - cause if you do act out - dems will have no choice but to retaliate.

READ THAT POST AT INFIDEL BLOGGERS ALLIANCE ABOUT THE SYRIANS. IF IT WAS,NT FOR THEM , THE LEB CIVIL WAR WOULD HAVE ENDED A HELL OF A LOT SOONER. THEY WERE THE MAIN INSTIGATORS OF ALL THE BLOOSHED THERE. NOW THEY ARE DOING THE SAME CRAP IN IRAQ. WE ARE FIGHTING THIS WAR AGAINST TERORISM LIKE A BUNCH OF @#$DAMN GIRLSINGERS!!!!!! IT,S PATHETIC!!!!!!!!! (ASS)AD NEEDS TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON OR KILLED. WE ARE FIGHTING WITH HALF MEASURES. THE SAME THING HAPPENED 40 YRS AGO IN S.E. ASIA WHEN THE ENEMY WAS AFFORDED A SAFE HAVEN. THE WAR WENT ON FAR TOO LONG, AND WORE DOWN THE U.S. AND EVENTUALLY DEFEAT. YOU CAN NOT FIGHT A WAR AND LET YOUR ENEMY HAVE A SAFE HAVEN. IRAN AND SYRIA ARE SAFE HAVENS. AND IT SENDS A MESSAGE THAT WE CAN,T DO WHAT IT TAKES TO DEFEAT THEM. THE DIRTBAGS ARE SITTING AROUND THE FIRES TONIGHT IN SYRIA AND IRAN, HAVING A GOOD LAUGH, AND THEY MUST BE THINKING TO THEMSELVES IT,S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THE INFIDELS GO HOME.SAME THING IN PAKISTAN AND THE HINDU KUSH OF AFGHANISTAN. TODAY A CANADIAN MILITARY CONVOY WAS ATTACKED BY SUICIDE BOMB. NO CASUALITIES IN THE CANADIAN RANKS , BUT THE DIRTBAGS KILLED A BUNCH OF CIVVIES. DOES,NT SURPRIZE ME , HELL THEY GOT ALL THE TRAINING AND WEAPONS AND MANPOWER THEY WANT JUST OVER THE BORDER IN PAKILAND. THINGS NEED TO BE DONE.BUT NOW THE POLITICAL CLIMATE DICTATES THAT IT WON,T GET DONE. LIKE PATTON ONCE SAID:I,D RATHER HAVE A SISTER IN A WHOREHOUSE, THAN A BROTHER IN POLITICS!!!!!!!!

A few days ago, I wrote a post on Michelle Obama and her remarks made in a speech at UCLA. I commented that her remarks about her country and the American people were negative in tone. I also pointed out a few of her statements which I felt were appropriate for criticism. What was not in that article was Michelle Obama's comment a few days ago in front of a Wisconsin audience, a comment that has caused even more criticism.
In this speech, Obama told her audience that it is only now-for the first time in her adult life-that she has felt proud of her country (adding that it is not just because her husband "has done well", but that she sees a "hunger for change" in the American people.)
Excuse me?
Already, Barack Obama's campaign manager, David Axelrod, has attempted to put a spin on this, claiming that Mrs Obama's words were not well formed and misunderstood. I'm sorry, but that doesn't wash. The words were very clear. Michelle Obama attended Princeton and the Harvard Law School. She is a professional woman in her 40s. Articulation is not one of the lady's weaknesses. When you add this comment with the comments made at UCLA, as well as previous negative comments about life in America, then a question arises in the public's eye as to her attitude toward her country.
Cindy McCain's reaction was simple and to the point; she stated publicly today that she has always been proud to be an American.
Many people who know Mrs Obama are jumping to her defense and insisting that she is, indeed, a patriotic American. That may be so, but I think it is incumbant for Mrs Obama to come out publicly and clarify her remarks. It is not in the Obamas' interest to let this question linger or grow. Michelle Obama is two steps away from the White House as our First Lady. If her pride in her country is open to question, I don't think she and Barack are going to make it.
