OF COURSE WE DIDN'T KNOW!
WHY DIDN'T WE KNOW? BECAUSE... OUR MEDIA WOULDN'T TELL US!
Instead of reflecting our love for our country, we get photos of flag burning incidents at Abu Ghraib and people throwing snowballs at the presidential motorcades.
Tragically, the lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves two purposes:
It is intended to undermine the world's perception of the United States
thus minimizing consequent support, and it is intended to discourage American citizens .

I expect the media to avoid good news, it's part of their nature. What I don't expect and what I find despicable is that members of our own Congress are ignoring the facts on the ground and still demanding we withdraw our troops.
One of the reason the left gives for the hatred of Bush is that he won't admit when he's wrong. It's quite ironic that we are obviously winning in Iraq and not only will they not admit it, they won't even talk about it.

Of course we shouldn't know any of those things; it doesn't fit the DNC talking points sent daily to the news media. Appeasement and defeatist politics can't be bothered by facts and truth. Uh-uh, no way!

Not fit for publication in the MSM eh Debbie. Can't have everyone thinking that America is a force for good in the world. Can't have the rest of the Arabs thinking that they too can be free one day can we.
