How Much Will the Democrats’ Budget Raise Your Taxes?

The House Democrats’ Budget, expected to be on the floor next week, will impose on American workers and businesses a $683 billion tax hike – the largest in history. The table below illustrates how much more the average taxpayer will be paying on an annual basis under this budget:

I pretty much stay away from discussing the tax issue - it is to dismal a subject for me these days. I must agree with A.C. McCloud, I too am not sure McCain will not raise taxes.

At some point Debbie it appears they all do. Bush I think did some good things with the tax system, but I am sure it will be only a matter of time before the new administration will do something to change it.

Wake Up what neverland are you living in? What did you think was going to be the result of huge tax cuts for the rich when the rich now hold more of Americas wealth then ever before and there is a war to be paid for? Get real and a little unselfish will you. The middleclass is going on the endangered species list and the poor working class will too or be slaves(rice and beans oh boy). And yes the illegal immigrents are responsible for a lot of it and it is not their fault, the are being welcomed by the greedy corporate interests(Republican) taking you jobs and turning you into $7-8 per hour cash register punchers. Here in Pennsylvania we are having record numbers of county and city workers arrested for embezelment, my county announced this week ALL departments are going to be cut back 10% and the PHEAA(state college grants) announced there will be hardly any money for grants for students(the education president, ya right). We are in trouble, China and Japan are financing us now and we cannot pay it back. How long will they finance us and is it politically wise to count on help from China. We are no longer a superpower, sure we have a hell of an airforce but as it gets worn out do you really think China will loan us the money to rebuild it. Wake the hell up, take your blinders off!

Sounds about right based on my tax returns between the 90s and post-Bush. Thing is, I'm not convinced McCain won't raise taxes, too.
