Pure Hate
Obama’s Racist Pastor: God Damn AmeriKKKa
From Stop the ACLU (consider this my Stop the ACLU Blogburst)
Powerline coins the phrase: The Audacity of Hate. As Hillary is apologizing to black voters, Obama’s association with someone that preaches racial hatred has been getting a free ride. Perhaps the free ride is over. Obama’s preacher, Rev. Jeremiah Wright:
“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, God damn America, that’s in the Bible for killing innocent people,” he said in a 2003 sermon. “God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme.”
In addition to damning America, he told his congregation on the Sunday after Sept. 11, 2001 that the United States had brought on al Qaeda’s attacks because of its own terrorism.
“We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye,” Rev. Wright said in a sermon on Sept. 16, 2001.“We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost,” he told his congregation.
1. When does Barack work his reconciliation magic on his minister?
2. Does Barack actually bring his two young daughters to that church to listen to that stuff?
So, Obama asks Hillary to repudiate Ferraro’s remarks about him only being where he is because he is black, and she quits. When will Obama repudiate the message of hate from his own minister, who is a part of his campaign?
In recorded sermons that may run afoul of IRS guidelines, sure to give the story legs - Wright compares Obama to Jesus, declares America a country controlled by “rich white people,” and claims Jesus was “a poor black man who lived in a country and who lived in a culture controlled by rich white people.” He goes on to claim that people are “hating” on Obama as he isn’t “white, privileged and rich,” as is Hillary Clinton. He closes by stating that, “Hillary ain’t never been called a nigger!”
Given Obama’s close ties to both the pastor and the church and his attempt to run a post-racial campaign, it’s fair to say he has some formidable PR challenges ahead.
During a Christmas sermon, Wright tried to compare Obama’s upbringing to Jesus at the hands of the Romans.
“Barack knows what it means living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich white people,” Wright said. “Hillary would never know that.
“Hillary ain’t never been called a nigger. Hillary has never had a people defined as a non-person.”
In his Jan. 13 sermon, Wright said:
“Hillary is married to Bill, and Bill has been good to us. No he ain’t! Bill did us, just like he did Monica Lewinsky. He was riding dirty.”
FOX News purchased the video recordings of Wright’s sermons from the church.
“It’s pretty clear an indirect endorsement of Barack Obama - that’s not something you’re supposed to do according to the tax code,” said Andrew Walsh, a professor at Trinity College who specializes in religion in politics.
The tax code bans churches from participating in or intervening in a political campaign. Violations can result in the loss of a church’s tax exempt status.
The Obama campaign issued a statement in response to FOX News’ inquiries about Wright’s sermons.
Obama has a choice on where to be a member of a Church. The simple, basic question is: Will he repudiate the hateful rhetoric of his preacher, and condemn his politics from the pulpit? Or, does he approve of his church’s message? He can’t condemn people on the one hand with racist charges, and follow a racist leader on the other. This is definitely a thorn in his side as Pennsylvania approaches. He needs to do something fast if he wants to survive, cuz this has legs.
Michelle Malkin says that now we know where Michelle Obama’s resentment of America comes from.
Hot Air has a nice roundup.

and ortho Jesus was not a black man, he was a jew and he wasn't killed by european white men he was betrayed and killed by his own people...stop making shet up!

"I have one question...how did this clown ever get elected as a senator..much less running for president."
Judging by the reaction of the congregation to the reverend, there are a bunch of America hating, white hating, black racist types there. I am sure there are a whole sloo of those folks in the Chicago area. That's who voted for him. Scary isn't it?
Posted by: Reverend Grouch | March 18, 2008 at 10:33 PM
Terri: It was the Chicago political machine that MADE him.

Hi Debbie! I hope you and your family have a blessed weekend!
I don't understand why Obama attempts to distance himself from his pastor. The pastor speaks the truth: America is run by rich, white people; Jesus was a black man killed by white, European men; and Hillary ain't never been called a nigger.
If I was Obama I would embrace the Pastor's wise words.

WHAT I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT OBAMA AND HIS FORMER PASTOR....
For 3 days I have watched clips of the pastor of Obama's church spew hate against America. I also heard Obama claim "NO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS HATE SPEECH" yesterday.
Mr. Obama, I watched the camera pan from the pastor to his congregation who were standing up, clapping and nodding at his HATE SPEECH.
Mr. Obama....are you and your wife the only members of that congregation who DO NOT AGREE WITH THE PASTOR? THE REST OF THE CONGREGATION CERTAINLY DOES.....
PLEASE CLEAR THIS UP FOR ALL THE REST OF US.

This is what George W. Bush has to say to the American people...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVynnbx1Xsc
And here is what Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson had to say about September 11, 2001...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-CAcdta_8I
According to Falwell, the United States of America DESERVED to be attacked on 9/11.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-CAcdta_8I
How is that any different from "God Damn America"?
According to Falwell, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT GOD DID TO AMERICA ON 9/11.
Yes, McCain called Falwell and others "agents of intolerance" in 2000, but he kissed and made up in 2006 when McCain decided to run again.

And let's not forget John McCain's acceptance of John Hagee's endorsement. Mr. Hagee called the Catholic Church the Great Whore. And what was McCain's response to this: "When he endorses me, it does not mean that I embrace everything that he stands for and believes."

To Debbie and everyone else here: just admit that you are biased and your responses to equally offensive Republicans is hypocritical.
To Stormwarning: Obama did distance himself from Mr. Wright. Perhaps McCain should also distance himself from Mr. Hagee. Also Stormwarning, are you implying that Obama doesn't love this country? tsk, tsk, tsk...

There's really no need for any of you to respond to my comment unless you admit that your criticisms of Democrats biased and hypocritical. Republicans and their surrogates are just as bad, but I doubt any of you can admit this simply, self-evident fact.
All of you are a joke.

Debbie,
I tried to post a comment but apparently you are strict with freedom of speech. If you don't like to hear rational opinions that may differ from your own, then just admit it.
I don't expect you to post my original comment, but if you do, thanks.

I was telling the little woman while ago that this may be the moment Hillary and the DNC have been looking for. This may give the superdelegates a chance to forsake Hussein and give the nomination to the Hildabeast.
How dare those people vote for a black guy when they could vote for the smartest woman in the world.
Then I'm gonna wait for the great black Democrat revolt!
It's gonna be fun, boys and girls, it's gonna be fun!

Obama has some explaining to do.

I have been writing about this for two days now. He is sick! SPIT!

Hi Debbie,
I agree. Barack must repudiate the statement of his Pastor and distance himself - no, extricate himself from this church. --Durano, done!

In the interest of "fair and balanced", rev. Wright does possess a doctorate degree in divinity which is more than one can say about most of the other so called reverends. Makes me wonder what they taught him in divinity school though!
Posted by: Reverend Grouch | March 14, 2008 at 12:42 PM
I agree with Americalover. Let rev. Wright move to Somalia.....I hear it is nice this time of year.
I have a thing about people of this caliber who attach the title "reverend" in front of their names, like they have been appointed by the Almighty. I won't name any names, but I betcha all of you can think of a few of them right away.
Upon investigation it is frequently difficult to find evidence of any true qualifications........hmmmmmm.....kinda like Hussein Obama......no true qualifications!
Perhaps I shall start referring to myself as Reverend Grouch?!?!?

"make certain that the Conservative party mount a serious and viable candidate to run against the candidates of the other two parties. The break from the old two-party system has to start at some point."
I couldn't agree more, but what I really think may happen is that the Republican party may go the way of the Whigs and a new and different and hopefully better party will emerge.
Posted by: Grouch at Right Truth | March 14, 2008 at 12:23 PM
The so-called "Rev" Jeremiah Wright would make a perfect imam for the ultimate hatemongers, the Islamofascists. Nothing more need be said.
Posted by: Skunkfeathers | March 14, 2008 at 08:26 AM
Debbie, this is stunning. Not only is it a slap in the face to the American people as this clown is running for president; it's also a slap in the face to Christianity. How degrading. Welcome to the new world religion.
Linking to you.

But you see Mr. Grouch, that is the point I have been making for quite some time now. One does not have to be a conservative to be a Republican. The late great William Buckley was a Conservative and made no attempt to cover that up by calling himself a Republican. Therefore, my earlier conclusion that if Conservatives are so unhappy with the Republican party, then they should make certain that the Conservative party mount a serious and viable candidate to run against the candidates of the other two parties. The break from the old two-party system has to start at some point. Why not now?

Today here in Reno, Nevada, a local talk radio host, Ira Hansen, Talk 99.1, said on his program what all red blooded american citizens who love this country wanted to say after playing and listening to this preacher of hate. He played Merle Haggard's "Walking on the fighting side of me". When it was over, he was brought to tears and thru his tears and anger he asked that any black person here living in america that feels the same as this filthy pastor go back to the mother country of Africa. Your so proud of being African how about you move back there and love it in person. You think America is so bad. Go check out how you would live in Africa. These hate mongers have no idea how lucky they are to live here. You hate it here, go home. I have to tell you, I was crying with him. If you could have heard it. That clip should be played by radio stations all over this country. Thank god for the Ira Hansen's of this country and god bless the USA.

My 2 cents. Wright and Hussein Obama's church are a disgrace.
John McCain may be a great American and I have no doubt he loves this country. Too bad he is NOT a conservative. He is so wrong on so many issues.

This needs to be shouted from the rooftops. It seems our Media has been very slow and not forthcoming on much that is negative with Obama.
He seems to have people mesmerized or hynotized.
"The fact is, they know we can be manipulated by this issue through years of making it a lead issue and constantly working on guilt. We need to stop tilting and get back on the scale of equality." So true.
Thanks for the great post.

JUST GOT DONE READING AN AMERICAN ODYSSEY JOHN MC CAIN. HE IS A GOOD MAN, SO ROGER THAT STORM!! AS FAR AS OBAMA BIN LADEN IS CONCERNED I'M NOT SURPRIZED AT ALL. ANYBODY THAT VOTES FOR THAT PUNK IS AN IDIOT!!!!! AND HE IS A PUNK AND A CHUMP. PERIOD.
Posted by: PALADIN | March 13, 2008 at 06:26 PM
It has always been okay for a black person to play the race card. We have never took any action against this. Perhaps it is a deep seated debt we think we owe them.
The fact is, they know we can be manipulated by this issue through years of making it a lead issue and constantly working on guilt. We need to stop tilting and get back on the scale of equality. We need to remove every form of racial prejudice and special treatments. It is time to end this divisive wedge that removes real issues from the eye of scrutiny. Let us stand on our merit and not our skin color.

I've been in my car alot today and listened to some of the radio reports of this. It is very distressing. How Barack can not distance himself from this stuff is far beyond my belief.
Vote McCain...say whatever you will, John McCain is a great American and loves this country.
