Children under age 6 banned from restaurant
Restaurant Bans Children Younger Than 6 -- Owner Wants To Cater Restaurant To Adults. So, why stop at age 6 years? Ban all children. (hat tip hubby)

SILVERTON, Ore. -- The management for a popular restaurant in Silverton, Ore., announced Thursday that young children would no longer be allowed into the establishment. The manager at the Red Thai restaurant on Oak Street said children under the age of 6 aren't welcome in the eatery.
The Red Thai manager, Craig Gereau, said children disrupt people who are trying to enjoy a quiet dinner.
He said most of his customers like the new rule, but he's had to turn some people away.
"We've had to turn a few young parents away. They're a little bit appalled, a little bit annoyed, but we have to do what we have to do. We can't stay in business to please everybody," Gereau said.
Gereau said he's not discriminating against anyone; he just wants to run a restaurant that caters to adults, and said there are plenty of family restaurants in Silverton for children. (WSBTV)

I won't argue whether or not I agree with guy, but I do agree that people should be able to run their own PRIVATE business and get the GOVERNMENT off our backs. Everyone wants a lawsuit where there ought not be one. That's my final opinion on that topic. ;)

This is a great idea. We need more of it.
"children are just a nuisance who interfere with our pleasure"
I couldn't have said it better, especially when I'm out to enjoy and digest a QUIET meal.

Aurora: I understand where you are coming from, but adults have rights too. We should be able to go out without kids, go to a restaurant without kids, and enjoy a nice meal in peace and quiet, like ... adults.
There's nothing wrong or anti-child about this, so far as I can see. There are restaurants that specialize in catering to children, why not a restaurant that caters to adults?

Debbie, this is a sign of the times in a cold world where children are just a nuisance who interfere with our pleasure. It's really a sad indictment on our contemporary society.
