Don't hold your breath!
If you have been hoping for a third political party here in the U.S., an option other than Liberal Democrats and Liberal Republicans, .... like a Conservative Party .... don't hold your breath.
Concerning the imminent collapse of the two party system, it’s appropriate to paraphrase Mark Twain: reports of its demise have been greatly exaggerated. [snip]... with less than six months to go before the election, there’s little or no prospect of a serious third party effort (if that’s not a contradiction in terms) to challenge the Democrats and Republicans. [snip]
But they also seem to understand that the best way – the only way – to actually alter policies and reform government is to work within, not outside, the two great parties that have served the nation reasonably well for the last 150 years. (Michael Medved, Townhall)
Barack Obama is a looser, according to Ben Shapiro:
What do you call a candidate who wins 90 percent of the African-American vote, between 30 percent and 50 percent of the Hispanic vote and 40 percent of the white vote in a tight Democratic primary race?A general election loser. [snip]
This leaves McCain in the unexpected position of November front-runner. He will almost certainly win Florida and Ohio, and he will challenge in Pennsylvania. He will retain the states President Bush won, as well.
Democrats expected a political realignment in 2008, with a strong new coalition led by young voters. Instead, they may end up with 1972 all over again.
We can pray that Mr. Shapiro is correct and that Mr. William Rusher is wrong (and right) when he says: America: A White-Minority Nation? But again, don't hold your breath.
In the May 4 New York Times, columnist Frank Rich asserts that "Anyone who does the math knows that America is on track to become a white-minority nation in three to four decades." [snip]In short, the technical end of majority-white dominance in American society will almost certainly not result in dominance by a coalition of racial and ethnic minorities. Each of these will be competing for power and influence in a mixed society in which by far the biggest minority bloc will still be -- you guessed it -- the whites. Their influence is quite likely to continue to be dominant for the foreseeable future.
On John McCain, Victor Davis Hansen says "John McCain has distanced himself from Bush as much as he can, even as his Democratic opponents dub him John McBush -- when they are not outdoing each other in their denunciation of the president."
There are serious problems -- high fuel costs, rising food prices, staggering foreign debt, unfunded entitlements and annual deficits. Yet a president or vice president running for office (and covered incessantly by the media) would at least make the argument that there is a lot of good news, and that the bad that offsets it could be shared by a lot of culpable parties, from the Congress to the way we, the public, have been doing business for the last 20 years.
Yeah, I can really see that happening.
Zogby says (in video here) that Hillary Clinton is TOAST. Former Sen. George McGovern, who backed Hillary Rodham Clinton, is urging her to drop out of the Democratic presidential race. Don't hold your breath on this one either.
Cliff Kincaid says, "The Chicago Tribune, which once employed Barack Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod, is refusing to publish the truth about a Weather Underground terrorist bombing that killed a policeman." No holding breath here either.

All three "candidates" have made clar their intentions to ignore the highest law in the land...the U.S. Constitution.......they are therefore self-declared outlaws...and we are suckers for giving them a chance at leadership.
