Bush speaks against appeasement (Sweetness and Light)

“Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along,” Mr. Bush said. “We have heard this foolish delusion before. The Obama campaign issued an angry response. In an e-mail statement to reporters, the senator denounced Mr. Bush for using the 60th anniversary of Israel to “launch a false political attack,” adding, “George Bush knows that I have never supported engagement with terrorists, and the president’s extraordinary politicization of foreign policy and the politics of fear do nothing to secure the American people or our stalwart ally Israel.”

Courtney: Excellent comment, I should have connected those. The 'change' would be devastating to the US and to Israel. However, today Condi said that Bush isn't Pro-Israel or Pro-anything, except Pro-democracy and Pro-peace. He said this in response to the Palestinians saying the US sided with Israel.
