British government discriminates against Christianity, favors Islam
"The Church of England claims the British government lacks a strong
moral direction, discriminates against Christians and favors Islam in
its actions." (UPI.com) I agree with this statement, but I'm not sure about the suggested solution. The Church of England is also correct that all religions are not the same, if you consider Islam a religion -- actually it is more like a political system.
Ali Sina of www.faithfreedom.org. Sina writes: "Islam is not a religion. Considering Islam a religion is a foolish mistake that could cost millions of lives. Islam is a political movement set to conquer the world. It is the Borg of the non-fictional world. Islam has one goal and one goal alone: to assimilate or to destroy." (Asia Times)
A report endorsed by the Archbishop of Canterbury says the governments of Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Gordon Brown have presided over an era of "deep religious illiteracy" that has allowed discrimination against Christian faiths take hold, The Times of London reported Saturday.
The report calls for the establishment of a "minister for religion" who could act as a liaison between all levels of government and religious groups and brings into focus the extent to which the Church of England feels betrayed by the secular policies of a government that emphasizes notions of equality among all religions.
"The government has focused so intensely on minority faiths that it has failed to develop a coherent evidence base for the largest religious body in the U.K., the Christian church," the report states, adding, "The government is planning blind and failing parts of civil society. The government has good intentions, but is moral without a compass."
Among the recommendations in the report is a call to fund research on what roles "theology" and "spirituality" play in charity.
From the Asia Times article, " I shall argue that Islam is both a religion and a political ideology. Religion is what makes Islamic political ideology so dangerous. ... In the form of Islam, the West confronts a challenge quite different from communism."
It wold behoove all Democratic nations and those who value their freedoms, to realize the true threat from Islam. Also as the Church of England notes, governments seem to be placing Islam above other religions and giving special status to those who follow Islam's teachings. We have seen this here in our own beloved United States -- foot bathes on public college campuses; prayer times for Muslims in public schools; 'cultural' presentations in public schools by representatives of C.A.I.R, and on and on. Time to wake up.
From Daniel Pipes blog a commenter, Mikhail Shafik (United States), says
... history and religion are falsfied in the Islamic world. I believe that if the true history of Arabia and Islamic invasions are taught in those countries many moslems may convert or at least become less militant. This is why I say Islam is not a religion but a political system.

The Brits will come to rue their kissing Islamofascist butts at home, in order to appease them world-wide. I know progressive suck-ups want us to follow the Brit lead, but I reckon not.

"The government has good intentions, but is moral without a compass."
It's true that they've lost their moral compass, but i'd dispute that they have good intentions.
"...governments seem to be placing Islam above other religions..."
Not 'seem', perhaps to a person who came down with the last shower or someone who WON'T see it, but in reality they 'are' placing Islam above other religions. Governments of all persuasions, even Conservative ones though the left-leaning ones are a mile ahead of them on that.

That's what happens when the church doesn't do what it is supposed to do, when it doesn't hold fast and firm to it's foundations. Watered down it is weak and has lost influence.
In the United States we see some of this, depending on the denomination of the church. It's a very slippery slope.

Interestingly, the Church of England is not a good representation of Christianity in the first place. Focusing more attention on ritual rather than a relationship with the Father, they have more or less isolated themselves from the Father.
Now, as they come under attack, they have little substance to argue with, and the only support they'll be able to muster is from the few in Parliament that have a memory or inclination of a spiritual life; perhaps the thought of a childhood event that will spur them to act. It is sad, but the clear an obvious result of compromise.

We cannot hold Obama responsible for the circumstances of his birth or family problems. However, as an adult, Obama does seem to have a significant identity crisis. Is he a Christian, or a Muslim? Is he an Afro-centric separatist, or profoundly American? Does he value American tradition and culture, or is he a new world socialist? It would be fine with me if Obama simply selected a position and stayed with it. That’s not what he is doing, however. He is pandering to all sides in order to increase his popularity, or acceptability. Doesn’t this make him the worst kind of politician? You can always tell when an opportunist is lying; his lips are moving.

Excellent book. A must read. Though your post is insightful and appreciated since so many are unaware of what is going on outside the U.S. - this is old news. The UK sold out years ago to dhimmitude.

In Our Own Back Yard- Jihad Blog in Charlotte, NC
Fox News is running a story today about a Jihadist, anti-American blog that supports Al Qaeda, praises Osama bin Laden, and calls for the killing of American soldiers. What is particularly outrageous is the fact that the blogger is not in the Middle East or Pakistan; he is right here in America.
Samir Khan is a 22-year-old, who lives with his family in an upscale Charlotte, North Carolina neighborhood. He immigrated to this country with his family from Saudi Arabia when he was 7 and began the site when he was a student at Central Piedmont Community College. The blog is called Revolution.Muslimpad.com. Not only does Khan condemn our country, he rails against non-Muslims as well, according to the article. What arrogance!
I have linked the news story to the Fousesquawk site and will keep it up for the foreseeable future. This is just another example of a 5th column that we have allowed to come to this country, reap its benefits, spit in our face, and advocate the killing of our soldiers. If this creep is now a citizen, do we not have sedition laws that could be used here? Or is this another example of free speech accompanied by political correctness and a fear of offending Muslims-no matter how radical and anti-American they may be?
Are we now going the way of the UK and other European countries that are bowing and scraping to a radical presence in our midst-one that is devoted to our very destruction?
This story deserves the widest dissemination possible.
