DENVER -- On the first day of the Democratic National Convention, presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama emphasized the need to impose heavier sanctions on Iran. [1]

"My job as president would be to try to make sure that we are tightening the screws diplomatically on Iran, that we've mobilized the world community to go after Iran's program in a serious way, to get sanctions in place so that Iran starts making a difficult calculation," Obama said Mon. (Aug. 25) at a campaign stop in Iowa. "We've got to do that before

Israel

feels like its back is to the wall." [2]

On the same day, The Israel Project, a non-profit educational organization, launched a major TV and print campaign at the Democratic convention in hopes of pushing for diplomatic and economic measures that can help prevent war. The ad, which will also air during the Republican convention next week, will focus on the threat of a nuclear

Iran.

The Israel Project does not rate or endorse any candidates.

The Iran ad, along with a second one about U.S.-Israel efforts to develop alternative energy technologies, will run more than 1,300 times overall on CNN, CNN’s Headline News,

FOX

NEWS, MSNBC and other networks at the Democratic convention in

Denver

Aug. 25-28 and the Republican convention in Minneapolis/St. Paul Sept. 1-4. The Israel Project also began running its alternative energy ad today (Aug. 25).  (continue reading at The Israeli project, or here)

Democracy US Style:

Those who want war vote for McCain, a pro-war candidate.
Those who want peace vote for Obama, a pro-war candidate.

Omama will sell us out to Iran. I shudder to think what our foreign policies will look like!

Can you imagine that he would probably invite the arse to the WH for a fireside chat and a candlelight dinner while Kumbaya is playing if the background. PFFT!
