Hi Debbie, I've enjoyed your last two posts on McCain/Palin versus Obama, it has given me a great view of what's happening in America.
I'm just sorry that I'm unable to vote in the US elections, but I feel quite excited by what's happening there at present.

Great piece on Palin, the Obamaites are worried no doubt.

This is going to be fun. History will be made, one way or another, and it looks more likely now that it will be the right history.

Even more Hillary supporters will go for McCain now. Obama is no longer a near certainty. Heaven forbid something happens to McCain, but I believe Palin would rise to the occasion. She has the right attitude. Everyone knows Obama is NOT ready for POTUS, Palin is only for the VP. Look at Dan Quayle.

YEY SARAH PALIN! YEY John McCain! Great pick! The 1st woman for the GOP VP? SCORE!

She's conservative! SCORE! She's a Governor! SCORE! She's pro-drilling! She's a hunter! SCORE! She's a hockey Mom and played basketball in school! SCORE! She's pro-life! And she respects women! SCORE! She fights corruption! SCORE! She's high-energy! SCORE! She's tough! SCORE! She's got 5 kids! SCORE! Her son is going to Iraq in the Armed Forces! SCORE! She's married to a Blue-collar professional! SCORE! She's smart! SCORE! She's young! SCORE!

And she's a Hotty to boot! SCORE! The Left is going to go nuts! SCORE!

Both posts on Palin here are great ones; really great reads! I especially enjoyed the last line of your previous post on her, it really speaks for itself: "Obama's camp said Palin had no experience. John McCain shot back: "Sarah Palin first ran for political office in 1992. I don't know what Obama was doing 16 years ago." Touche'. No one knows what Obama was doing 16 years ago."

Have you read or heard anything about Palin's positions on illegal immigration or Russia/China? Those are my only questions about her. Has anybody? I definitely would love to have her clarify where she stands so we have something on the record. I know that immigration is not such a big issue in Alaska, but it would be great to hear. And without question Russia and China will be factoring heavily in the next POTUS term; they will be of major strategic concern, not to mention in need of serious policy choices in response to the human rights situation in both countries (and the countries they are invading/occupying).

Debbie

gecko: Thanks. I'm hoping Conservatives will be excited by Palin. We can't afford Obama as President.

Uspace: Thanks for that. Headed over to check out the link, much appreciated.

Martin: I haven't heard anything about her views on illegal immigration or Russia yet. If and when I do I will be sure to email you and let you know.

First impressions count and my first impression of Sarah was one that could change the direction of the election.
I was very impressed. And i think that the dem's should be very worried.

Debbie

DD2: First impressions are correct most of the time. The first impression I have of the Obama camp's reaction is "we're screwed". ha

Martin:

R.J. Godlewski reminded me that in Palin's acceptance speech yesterday, she did mention Russia, and how John McCain had for many years discussed the danger of Russia re-emergence.
