Oddities around the blogroll:
Torture chamber found in mosque, JIhad Watch
Now don't go getting all excited. Doesn't your local church have a torture chamber? What's that? It doesn't? Well, okay, but there must be at least a room in the basement where they rough up heretics? No? But...but...well, at very least Father McGillicuddy has a pair of thumbscrews -- doesn't he? He doesn't? Well, then, uh, remember the Inquisition! And the Crusades!
Gay British Spies, The Jawa Report
(London, England) MI5, the British equivalent of the FBI, has indicated that homosexuals will be recruited as spies. The intelligence agency is collaborating with the gay advocacy group Stonewall.

Things To Do In Denver When You're A Dead Jihadist, Jeremayakovka
A Canadian Muslim ... having entered the country illegally ... is found dead in a Denver hotel room ... with a pound of cyanide crystals ... two weeks before the Democratic National Convention.
More on this disturbing, almost Manchurian, story - so far, virtually ignored by the MSM - here and here.

Watcha Hiding, Baracky?, Right, Wing-Nut
....the public cannot get access to paperwork related grants distributed by then-state-legislator Obama (records from 1997 to 2000 aren't available); his state legislative office records (which he says may have been thrown out); he refuses to release a specific list of law clients, instead giving a list of all of his firm's clients, numbering several hundred each year; he won't release his application to the state bar (where critics wonder if he lied in responding to questions about parking tickets and past drug use); he’s never released any legal or billing records to verify that he only did a few hours of work for a nonprofit tied to convicted donor Rezko; and he's never released any medical records, just a one-page letter from his doctor.

Israeli Prisoner Release Intended to Bolster Peace Process, CNS News
From Instapundit:
Where was he when Alderman Dorothy Tillman — who reportedly brandished a .38-caliber pistol during a ward redistricting session — faced a tough reelection fight in 2007? Endorsing her. (Finally, Obama is willing to stand up for a gun owner.)
Finally, indeed.

Ivins update II
The news clarified last Friday's New York Times report that said, seemingly contrary to previous reports and the affidavits themselves, that Ivins's initial sample actually did match the evidence anthrax. Not quite. (continue reading at Fore-Left)

Haircuts for the homeless. Zoo tickets for the homeless. Museum tickets for the homeless. Mayor Hickenbopper and some of his more loosely-wrapped moonbats are coming up with all sorts of ideas on how to keep the homeless away from the convention, so there'll be more room for the protesters: TentState, Recreate '68, and all the rest of the freaks, anarchists, et al.
Meanwhile, the Recreate '68 idiot is constantly whining to the ACLU about the Denver Police preparations for his lowlife freak show, from fearing that the police have a 'crap cannon' (a stupid notion lifted from the cartoon South Park) to whining that the police won't tell him their numbers or tactics. Glen Spagknucklehead is showing why being a 'progressive' is gawdawfully overrated.
Glad I live upwind of Denver for the next week ;)

McCain should choose the person HE feels comfortable with not the person that Limbaugh likes.
A pro-choice VP would bring in the PUMAs. And do the Conservatives really want to vote for a man who wanted to make a federal law legalizing witch burnings (Bob Barr actually did try to do that)?

Ridge as the VP? That'll be interesting.
