(London, England) MI5, the British equivalent of the FBI, has indicated that homosexuals will be recruited as spies. The intelligence agency is collaborating with the gay advocacy group Stonewall.

The security service, which deals with counter-terrorism within the UK, has hired Stonewall to try and attract a broader range of candidate.

Barack Obama once famously announced he would debate John McCain anytime, anywhere. We found out that was untrue 75 days ago when John McCain invited The One to participate in 10 town Hall type debates. Obama agreed to one on the Fourth of july when no one would be interested and has avoided any other mention of the subject. The recent presidential forum at Saddleback church in California hosted by rick Warren demonstrated why Obama is avoiding any more debates than he absolutely has to attend. He is not well informed, he is not well prepared and he got his head handed to him on a platter.

Israeli Prisoner Release Intended to Bolster Peace Process, CNS News

Israel’s release of an arch-terrorist in a prisoner swap with Hezbollah last month prompted Israel to decide on a Palestinian prisoner release now in order to show that moderation and not violence is rewarded with “tangible results,” a government spokesman said on Tuesday.

Ivins update II

The FBI held a technical session at its HQ this afternoon to discuss the anthrax whodunit in more scientific detail. The media was invited, sans cameras, for what that was worth.

The news clarified last Friday's New York Times report that said, seemingly contrary to previous reports and the affidavits themselves, that Ivins's initial sample actually did match the evidence anthrax. Not quite.  (continue reading at Fore-Left)

Russia has taken a group of Georgian troops prisoner in the port city of Poti, and seized American Humvees.

POTI, Georgia - Russian soldiers took about 20 Georgian troops prisoner at a key Black Sea port in western Georgia on Tuesday, blindfolding them and holding them at gunpoint, and commandeered American Humvees awaiting shipment back to the United States.

Mayor Hickenbopper and some of his more loosely-wrapped moonbats are coming up with all sorts of ideas on how to keep the homeless away from the convention, so there'll be more room for the protesters: TentState, Recreate '68, and all the rest of the freaks, anarchists, et al.

Meanwhile, the Recreate '68 idiot is constantly whining to the ACLU about the Denver Police preparations for his lowlife freak show, from fearing that the police have a 'crap cannon' (a stupid notion lifted from the cartoon South Park) to whining that the police won't tell him their numbers or tactics. Glen Spagknucklehead is showing why being a 'progressive' is gawdawfully overrated.
