Let's compare experience...
True experience builds a persons resume, but it also builds a person's character. To decide who to vote for in November, voters need to LOOK at the candidates and compare what their lives stand for, how they have lived their lives, who they associate with, who they look up to, how they conduct their campaigns, and yes, what they have done in their lives.
Extremely qualified to run for Vice President or President of the United States of America - Sarah Palin. From the upcoming biography titled "Sarah Palin: A New Kind of Leader" by Joe Hilley (Zondervan 2008):
NOT qualified to run for President, that's Barack Obama:
Found this from VIRGINIA H. SHANAHAN who asks:
Perhaps Obama can share with us what major changes have occurred during this time that he now believes himself prepared to be President of the United States. What are your qualifications?
Answer: Zip, nada, zeros, goose eggs!
Does anyone think Sarah Palin will send out surrogates to speak for her on any subject? No, she speaks for herself without hesitation. Compare that to Obama, "Obama Bullied By A Girl ... Cries":
We know that Barry cannot match up with McCain as a matter of toughness and there is no shame in that. But Obama has no problem attacking McCain and engaging in a fight with him. Obama is not willing to take on Palin which makes me wonder how tough he could possibly be with the bad people of this world. (Big Dog's WebLog)
The war in Iraq was NOT a mistake Obama:
If you want chills, make sure to watch this all the way to the very end!
They died for a purpose not a mistake.
Hat tip: Big Dog!
Obama's views on Russia and Russia's attack on Georgia were also wrong. President Harry S. Truman said the following words, and those words are accurate today for Obama and his followers:
Is this the kind of friends, relationships and experience we want in a President? Barack Obama — Magna Cum Saudi?
Before Barack Obama ran for office, he consulted people like Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Father Michael Flager, as well as the South side Chicago political machine.
Sarah Palin consulted God and her pastors. Example: "Shortly after taking office as governor in 2006, Sarah Palin sent an e-mail message to Paul E. Riley, her former pastori n the Assembly of God Church, which her family began attending when she
was a youth. She needed spiritual advice in how to do her new job,..."
He wrote back that she should read again from the Old Testament the story of Esther, a beauty queen who became a real one, gaining the king’s ear to avert the slaughter of the Jews and vanquish their enemies. When Esther is called to serve, God grants her a strength she never knew she had.
Mr. Riley said he thought Ms. Palin had lived out the advice as governor, and would now do so again as theRepublican Party's vice-presidential nominee.
“God has given her the opportunity to serve,” he said. “And God has given her the strength to carry out her goals.” (continue reading)
The above quote is from "In Palin’s Life and Politics, Goal to Follow God’s Will", By Kirk Johnson and Kim Severson, The New York Times, via Peace and Freedom '08.
Why Obama's Organizer Days Are A Big Joke, Michelle Malkin at IBD:
[Michelle Malkin said] " ... Let me clarify something. Nobody is mocking community organizers in church basements and community centers across the country working to improve their neighbors' lives. What deserves ridicule is the notion that Obama's brief stint as a South Side rabble-rouser for tax-subsidized, partisan nonprofits qualifies as executive experience you can believe in." [snip]
What deserves derision is "community organizing" that relies on a community of homeless people and ex-cons to organize for the purpose of registering dead people to vote, shaking down corporations and using the race card as a bludgeon.
Obama's community organizing days involved training grievance-mongers from the far-left ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now). The ACORN mob is infamous for its bully tactics (which they dub "direct actions");... (IBD)
One thing is for sure: Sarah Palin knows who the Savior is and she doesn't think for one minute that she is 'the one'. Compare that to Obama who uses the savior reference many times:
He really is full of himself, huh? Was this guy properly vetted? Collective salvation?
this country has not always been willing to make the sacrifices necessary to bring about a new day and a new age.
Jesus? How about the sacrifices of our soldiers and POWs? McCain? Country First!
The first real battles will be the debates, "58 Days That Will Change The World":
For once, the vice presidential debate on October 2 will be just as closely watched. Sarah Palin proved herself a doughty fighter at the Republican Convention and the party machine hopes that the "pit bull in lipstick" will sink her fangs into the calves of Joe Biden. (Scotland On Sunday)
The debates will reflect experience, knowledge, judgement, and ability to confront one's enemy, at least political enemies. Should be very enteresting and enlightning.
In my opinion, the battle is between Obama and Palin, there is no comparison. In the battle between Obama and McCain, no comparison. No matter how you look at it, ... Obama is not prepared to lead this country.

This is great stuff. I did a post (http://www.theresmytwocents.com/2008/09/experience-counts.html) on Palin's experience, too, but it wasn't this in-depth. Thanks!

I wish I could steal the entire post for my Silverbacks site, but instead I'll have to link this post there.
Thanks Debbie!

Excellent post! Thank you for the tb. ;) I just have to read your 'First Hand Account of Sarah Palin'! WOW. Did you actually get to meet her? Was it as thrilling as I think it would be? So many questions, so little time! lol.

Excellent comparison, Debbie. The media are actually really revealing their hypocrisy by complaining about Sarah Palin's inexperience when they know that Obama falls far beneath her in that area. It's become so ridiculous that even some of the many sheeple that never question the MSM must be scratching their heads. I really think this is going to backfire on them.

Oblahblah isn't fit to lead running water down a hill; he'd tax the productive part of it, undermining the end result.
But he'll be more than happy to feed the self-esteem of our enemies, while undercutting the job done by our stellar military.
No Oblahblah surrogate can wash away his established voting or speaking record, let alone the America-hating friends Oblahblah has embraced over the years.

Courtney: That's what I'm praying for, NO OBAMA.
Thanks girl friend.

Best report/essay seen on expertise Debbie. Exceptionally well done.
The Georgia ref is key.
Perhaps - this is the begining of the end for Senator Obama's 2008 campaign.

Lizzie: I don't think Sarah Palin is for same sex marriage, but she did agree to shared benefits for partners. I will have to do some checking to be sure though.

Thanks for the link Silli Lizzie, I'll head over there.

Not to detract from ANYTHING you've said about Obama, he's poison and a nightmare for our country's future.
But integrity demands that we look at the experience of ALL the candidates, Sarah Palin included.
I for one have a GREAT BIG question about something I just discovered about Gov. Palin's actions in the matter of granting marriage benefits to homosexual couples.
