If we thought there was division in America after the 2000 elections, then after the 2004 elections, that was nothing to the division and anger that will be present no matter who wins the 2008 election. The far left cannot get over the previous two elections, and are already asking if the 2008 election will be stolen, saying "Many on the political left (actually, many Americans) believe that George W. Bush was never actually elected president." Plleeeaassseee!
The voter fraud we hear about today is being perpetrated by the Democrats with groups like ACORN, not by the Republicans. ACORN was created by those who subscribed to Saul Alinsky’s left-wing belief that class warfare is the only war worth fighting and that in order to win it, the ends always justify the means, is under investigation in at least 10 states for voter fraud.
As reported by Fox News, "ACORN is facing investigations in more than 10 states, including Nevada -- where authorities raided the group's Las Vegas office Tuesday following claims that workers tried to fill out voter forms using the names of several Dallas Cowboys players."
In another Fox News story, "In Missouri, Jackson County's top election official, Charlene Davis, says they've discovered more than 800 potentially fraudulent forms from ACORN."
Of course, the Democrats are defending the actions of ACORN, but the American people need to know what's going on, and we need our leaders to fight back! (--Bobby Eberle, The Loft, go read the entire article and watch the videos)
Barack Obama's campaign gave $800,000.00 to ACORN and tried to hide this information, concealing the information, calling it a 'clerical error'. Obama was the attorney for ACORN when he was a fellow community organizer, he led their voter registration effort at one time. By his own admission he has been working with ACORN and praised their work. ACORN has registered over 80,000 in one state alone so far, New Mexico.
Why would Obama give large sums of money to ACORN? To get votes for him in November, that's why. ACORN workers tell people they sign up to vote for Obama. This is a matter of fact, told to Fox News reporters by ACORN workers themselves.
Don't forget Obama's membership in the New Party, a radical leftist organization established in 1992 to push the United States into socialism by forcing the Democratic Party to the left, as reported by the American Thinker? But be careful, because anything Republicans say, wear or do provokes instant cries of "RAAAAACISM!" Wink, blink or think critical thoughts about Obama? You're a bigot!
Yet -- "Convicted felon Tony Rezko. Unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers. And the race-baiting Rev. Jeremiah Wright. " -- all allies of Barack Obama are somehow OK? No racism there, no hate-America there? NO! They tell us two important things about Obama:
... But he is one of the rare few to then have the audacity to present himself as a transcendent healer, hovering above and bringing redemption to the "old politics" -- of the kind he had enthusiastically embraced in Chicago in the service of his own ambition.
Second, and even more disturbing than the cynicism, is the window these associations give on Obama's core beliefs. He doesn't share Rev. Wright's poisonous views of race nor Ayers' views, past and present, about the evil that is American society. But Obama clearly did not consider these views beyond the pale. For many years he swam easily and without protest in that fetid pond. (--Charles Krauthammer)
The old media has been in the tank for Obama, having tantrums whenever John McCain or Sarah Palin try to tell Americans about Obama's past and present connections and actions. What happens to the new media if Obama wins?
Investors Business Daily writes about "The Coming Counterrevolution To Hush The Alternative Media", by the left. Conservative-friendly media better get ready. Should Barack Obama win the presidency and the Democrats control Congress, as now seems likely, they will launch a full-scale war to drive critics — especially on political talk radio — right out of legitimate public debate.
However, there may be some glimmer of hope for the old media, that light coming from no other than CNN: A Shocking Expose of the Truth Behind the Obama/Ayers Connection from CNN — What??, -- unquestionably negative expose coming from CNN
Today Barack Obama said that "he thought William Ayers was a REFORMED terrorist". WHAT? Even if Obama really thought that, which I do not believe for one minute, does he think it is OK to have personal, business, and financial connections to reformed terrorists? What does that say about his character and what does that foreshadow for America's future?
The Constitution is only as reliable as the moral fiber of the people from which it derives its power and their commitment to good (and limited) government. We need to be very careful who we put in power as leader of the United States of America.
Obama has many problems, the polls are all over the place today but Obama is ahead no matter which poll you look at. Independents are now equally divided between Obama, McCain, and undecided. There are many reasons why independents should vote for McCain.
If Obama wins in November, it's a win for Allah. Not my words, but the words of Allah's follower. Perhaps Allah's follower knows the same thing that Daniel Pipes keeps telling us:
Daniel Pipes, founder of the Middle East Forum think tank, says he fully accepts that Obama is a Christian now. But there is strong evidence that Obama received a Muslim upbringing during his years in Indonesia, Pipes said.
“It’s fine with me that he was a Muslim and a convert to Christianity,” Pipes told Newsmax. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal “is a convert from Hinduism. I have no problem with his conversion. What I have a problem with is that he’s lying” when he says he was never a Muslim.
Who is ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now)? With
approximately 175,000 dues-paying members, they own TV stations,
businesses and periodicals, and have offices stretching from Canada to
Peru, with over 80 offices in the U.S.:
To give you some idea how all-encompassing the group is, they have schools where the children of leftists are trained in class-consciousness; they run boot camps for training street activists; and, like Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Coalition, they extort money from banks and other businesses by threatening racial violence and trumped-up civil rights charges. One can almost imagine Marx, Lenin and Stalin, shaking their heads in admiration and hoisting their glasses in toast.
Apparently, the members of ACORN have gained control of the New York City government, resulting in a rollback of welfare reform; the appointment of a politicized Civilian Review Board, empowered to prosecute police officers and ban racial and ethnic profiling in the city that experienced 9/11 firsthand; raise corporate taxes; and is attempting to prevent any corporation from fleeing the city without obtaining an “exit visa.” Even before Berkeley got around to having its own foreign policy, New York’s City Council, by a 31-17 vote, passed a resolution condemning the U.S. invasion of Iraq. (ACORN: A Clear and Present Danger)
Instead of concentrating on whether the 2000 or 2004 election was stolen (get over it), let's concentrate on the real issues and the records of the candidates. "Senator Obama's record on specific issues is as bad as his record of
repeatedly allying himself over the years with people who make no
attempt to hide their hatred of America." says Thomas Sowell.
Obama has had more than two dozen of his own earmarks in the past fiscal year, ...
The idea that Barack Obama is somehow different from other liberal-left politicians can only be based on his rhetoric, because his actual track record shows him to differ only in being further left than most liberals and at least as opportunistic.
IF there are riots and disruption after November 4, 2008 -- you can be sure it will not come from the Republicans. It's not our style. Maybe we have been too nice, too adult, too logical. Nope. There truly are differences in the two parties. I'm proud to be an American, proud to be a Conservative, proud to be someone who does NOT pitch a hissy fit and threaten physical damage and danger if my party does not win in November. Proud!

Debbie,
It is ironic timing. Just today members of my staff and I were arguing just these points. Those leaning left could not stop equivocating that both parties use dirty tricks to steal elections. Those of us on the correct side know this to be untrue, or at least not equal.
Whenever this discussion arises about ACORN, all I hear is Florida and Ohio. Though both elections contained many irregularities, it was never equal in scope and number. Like all arguments are like a two lane road, at no time are both lanes the same width.
Despite all the yammering that Gore and Kerry had the elections stolen, no concrete evidence ever proved it. In fact, I have even read and heard about conspiracy theories postulated that soldiers were denied absentee voting rights by Jack Abrahamov. The list goes on and on. (Abrahamov was a conservative crook. Why would a conservative want to stop military votes when the overwhelming lean of the military is to the right?)
Today however, there is no mistaking who is doing what and I fear all these ACORN actions will taint the election no matter the outcome. Especially if Obama loses.
When you have democrats like Carvill stating there will be, paraphrasing intent, riots in the streets. Never before has our representative republic been in such danger from within.
Be assured, Obama is a clear and present danger from within. The soviets knew one thing, the only way to take down the USA was from within.

Aukmuntr, thanks for that. There truly is a difference in the two parties, the type people on each side, and how we react to things.
Kind words much appreciated.

A great post, Debbie! What I would like to know is are these votes allowed to be counted? How can they possibly have a fair election if people get to vote 50 times or if dead people have an input too. The stories I am hearing from this investigation are very disturbing and to think Obama is tied to them is even worse.

Thanks everybody for the comments, links, kind words, ...
If Obama gets elected I will have to go into mourning for a few hours I will be so upset.

A lot of these invalid voter registration forms will simply be found, tossed in the trash and no one will be voting connected to them be cause the person either does not exist, is dead, was registered more than once or something.
However, there are some who may get used by people voting more than once, one time in their own names, and then again under false names, if they are not found prior to voting day. Who knows any more.

ACORN is but a sign of what's to come with Obama in the "Kremlin II", formerly the White House. Not to mention, how joyous Islamofascists will be.

The scary thing is that voters are about to elect a man with big questions about his ethics, past associations, and where he has received so much campaign money from.
Did foreigners contribute to his campaign fund ? His association with Acorn is scary. His vote on partial birth abortion in the Illinois senate is scary. His taking stands based on the political winds is scary (Would prefer a candidate doing whats right instead of whats politically right).
Why did Obama allow a 6 figure dollar amount to be donated from failed Fannie Mae ? ( What support did he give Fannie for it's failed policies?)
His voting record is liberal !
Will Obama go up against Nancy Pelosi with her energy policy of "saving the world" at the expense of economic gain ? ( Oil,clean coal, natural gas and nuclear power plants are an economic must)
Presidential historians have said that when the economy is in the tank the White House changes party.
Voters should do the necessary research on Obama's record before voting for him !

This was a remarkable post - clear and well-reasoned, well-cited - and hence all the more sobering. I'd email it to my friends and family, except they're not speaking with me anymore, Obama supporters that they are. Thank you, though, for the time and care it took to write this commentary and source it. Helps maintain my sanity during the most vicious, corrupt election year I've ever seen.

Denise-Mary: Hang in there. I truly feel for you if your family is supporting Obama. Politics can really be a divisive things for friends and family.
I feel very strongly that Obama will be very bad for this country.
Paul and every one thank you for the input.
Keep the faith and keep fighting.

I don't think we know who actually won any recent election. Too much confusion with voter fraud, fouled-up registrations, voting machine problems, etc. So whoever wins in Nov., I'd like to see him offer a cabinet post to the other. This country needs unity and a sense of commitment to a shared future, and having half the country feel left out, ignored, or unappreciated won't help at all.
Posted by: Aoi | October 11, 2008 at 09:43 PM
AOI:
That's an interesting suggestion, the winner offering a cabinet post to the loser.
I don't think either one, Obama or McCain, would accept a post offered by the other. But it would be very interesting to have the offer made anyway.
