My sweet hubby took me out to dinner and a movie last night. We saw Gran Torino with Clint Eastwood. What a great movie! Eastwood outdoes himself in this movie. Gran Torino is not billed as a comedy by any means, but we found ourselves laughing from beginning to end. Gran Torino is a story of humanity, a story of the things we do in this life to protect our country, to protect our families and even to protect those we barely know.
Gran Tornio is about good vs evil, about life vs death. It's about the old learning from the young, and the young learning from the old. It's about standing up for what's right.
Clint Eastwood calls upon all the past characters he has played in previous movies and TV shows. He's tough, he's vulnerable, he knows how to love, and he believes in personal responsibility. This movie is also about families, how we uplift each other and how we disappoint. This movie is about God, church, faith ...
You will not be disappointed.
Warning: If you don't want to hear any curse words, then don't go see this movie. The movie would not be what it is if Eastwood used words like "golly gee" and "gosh darn-it". Rated "R" for language and some violence.

She's right friends. This is a great movie, one of the best I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of movies.
Clint has outdone himself.

I saw it over Christmas break. I very moving film, and yes, quite humorous. I don't know how effected the ending of the movie will be for the protagonists of the story, but it was pure Eastwood.

Eastwood really has no peers in this genre. He is one of a kind, and a damned fine and entertaining one of a kind. I'll see it ;)

Clint Eastwood used his outward crankiness to come across as tough and yet also heroic at the same time, well done i'd say
